    Tesla...you got to be kidding

I sold my 2016 MS to Carvana a couple of years ago. Was a completely painless experience. Their truck even came and picked up the vehicle from my driveway. Got a better price than anywhere else.

Recent Used Buying Experience (New Policy)

$69k before delivery/fees. It was pretty close to just buying new no-upgrades-base 2020, TBH. The difference was that I wanted the upgraded wheels, FSD w/ AP3 hardware, etc. And with the new builds, that would've inevitably come out to close to $15k more than this (even with the recent price...

Used Teslas only 1 year / 10k warranty as of October 15, 2020.

Oh wow, that sucks! For me, that was one of the main reasons why buying pre-owned from Tesla was still attractive. I ordered on October 3rd but just took delivery on the 17th - thankfully I got the 4 yr/50k mile warranty still.

Recent Used Buying Experience (New Policy)

Took delivery today (Oct 17th). Vehicle was ready for delivery on the 15th but I couldn't make it happen until the weekend due to my schedule. Delivery was painless, despite an insane crowd at the Tesla center... Saturday test drives I suppose? I got the "Touchless delivery" - showed up...

Recent Used Buying Experience (New Policy)

Put in an order for mine on Oct 3rd - nothing other than the generic pictures. Today, Oct 13th it has arrived at my local Tesla Service Center (it was sent from Cali to Maryland). I got a text today that the next step is the Maryland State Inspection and then it should be ready for me to pick...

Best way to share Tesla mobile app w/ family?

Hmm, I don't see that option in my Tesla account on the portal; Tesla portal --> "Tesla Account" --> "Login Credentials" - I only see 3 options here "Account email", "Password", and "Multifactor Authentication" and none of them have an option of adding another account. Maybe I have to wait for...

Did not know this! Will look into this once the cars show up and I'm able to see them in the app.

Best way to share Tesla mobile app w/ family?

We recently got 2 Teslas in the family. Both under my name/account, but one will be for the Mrs. primarily. In terms of being able to share the Tesla app or the Tesla account for the administration of the car, what are our options? The least complicated would be for us to just use my account...

What charging accessories come with a new Y?

We just ordered a new Model-Y and wondering what sort of charging accessories come with the car and what sort of adapters/cables I should plan on buying for us? We usually travel across state lines often enough and tend to charge in public charging spots (so not necessarily always...

What can't I do while car ownership is being transferred?

This ^ I had created the thread back when there was free supercharging, so didn't have any issues then. Different story now. Actually am purchasing another used Tesla MS now, so will have to see how this goes, haha.

What happens in the "gap week" before TSLA stock splits?

I'm still unsure about this whole thing; still researching. But, here's my guess: The deadline for today (21st) in the context of the stock-split is specifically for calculation of a dividend pre-split (whether or not it's paid or how it's paid, I don't know). Wereas next week Friday is the...

What happens in the "gap week" before TSLA stock splits?

From what I gathered it's a stock split - you'll end up with +4 shares for every 1 share you own with the total value staying the same.

What happens in the "gap week" before TSLA stock splits?

That explained a part of my question; the tracking for it is done by the brokerage firm. Thanks!

What happens in the "gap week" before TSLA stock splits?

Ended up finding this answer in some trading forums: "You can buy and sell from now through next week as totally normal. Any shares or options owned by anyone at the close next Friday (28th) will under go the split for the following Monday. However, if you want to get paid dividends on shares...

What happens in the "gap week" before TSLA stock splits?

I've been wondering this with the recent announcement of TSLA 1-to-5 stock split. So, here's what I understand: Anyone holding TSLA stock end of day 21st is eligible for 1-to-5 split Stock splits on 31st of August Clearly this is driving up the stock value as we head into Friday the 21st But...

    19" Slipstream Wheel (gray) disappeared

Do the center caps have the Tesla logo? I can't tell from the pic. I think people were trying to just get aftermarket center caps for the wheels, but I don't know if anyone found ones that match.

Former MS owner, returning - CPO/model Guidance?

That's a very good point - I have been thinking just that reading some comments. It would end up being $85k with AP/FSD or $77k without (I don't want white exterior). But, I suppose then I have peace of mind and a brand new vehicle, so perhaps it's worth the extra cash at only 10% on top of my...

Former MS owner, returning - CPO/model Guidance?

Thank you all, especially Ostrichsak! This has been supremely helpful. Also, your points about Ravens not being viable in my price range (Pluturi) is also well-taken. My assumption here was incorrect that approaching the second half of 2020, the 2019 Ravens might be in my range. That being...

Former MS owner, returning - CPO/model Guidance?

Ahhh had no idea about this. Now a lot of what I read makes sense. A couple of questions about your two points: Are they still giving additional warranty when buying through Tesla or is it just whatever factory warranty remained on the vehicle? To your 2nd point (putting in writing anything...

Hello everyone! Former Model-S owner (2016, post-facelift) here. Sold it 2 years ago because my wife and I moved abroad. Bumpity bump. Thoughts on these; am I pricing them wrong? Is the appeal not there for 19" wheels w/ TPMS, regardless of the tires on them? Again, what you're really buying here are the original Tesla 19" Slipstream rims with Tire Pressure Monitors that have only been used for one summer. I'm...

Front 2 sensors don't engage all the time when driving

Wanted to see if anyone else has seen this behavior on their MS. When driving at normal speeds, looking down at my screen, I've noticed that the front two corner sensors don't engage (i.e. the little detection cones don't come on, on the vehicle avatar for front two corner sensors). This...

Gap around hood - just me?

So, a quick update. There are two rubber nubs on the inside of the hood that can be adjusted very so slightly. This will raise/lower the hood's front in a barely noticeable way, which may or may not help some of us. For me, it didn't really do much. Also, the Body Shop said the same thing that...

Gap around hood - just me?

Attaching pictures of the front of my MS75. Recently had a fender bender and got it repaired. All's well now, but I keep feeling like the front is a bit "off". Was looking at it and felt that it's the hood gap; the open lines all around the front hood seem to be just a tad bit wider than the...

Getting the "Driver Assistance Features Unavailable" Error

Conclusion: Dropped it off at my closest Tesla Service Center (Owings Mills, MD) and got a loaner. Took one full day; they put on winter tires and fixed the error. To fix the error, they had to recalibrate the radar; did not require any equipment replacement. Car is back to normal now + winter...

P90D accident and 10 month repair is still counting.....

Holy cow, that's not small! Hope you and the passenger were alright after it. Did the airbags deploy? I'm surprised your insurance didn't just total the car, given the cost of the repairs; any reason for that? Is it not costing USAA more now to just repair it for you?

Getting the "Driver Assistance Features Unavailable" Error

You're right. Fortunately the repair shop is on my way to work, so I didn't have to take a special trip for it. Stopped in this morning. They hooked the car up to their computer, did an analysis and a couple of "resets" but the error remains. Next step now is to take it to the SC. I recently...
