Asking for insight on a service damage issue

Update: There is no headliner available in North America, but there are 3 in Europe, so looks like it’ll be a couple weeks. Thanks again for everyone’s advice.

$42.5k. Car is also slated to get brand new headliner (as soon as they receive it), courtesy of a slip-up by a Tesla technician.

Asking for insight on a service damage issue

I appreciate the replies and suggestions. Still no response yet from them on it, so no update just yet. @demundus, Haha, I thought about the idea of replacing the entire interior, too. I’m sure it’ll be a long-shot if it comes down to me having to try to go that route, but would be nice if it...

Asking for insight on a service damage issue

I may be jumping the gun a bit here, but I want to have my thoughts in order in case this turns into a nightmare case as I’ve read about with many others. While servicing my car for the steering rack recall as well as a busted sun visor, a technician accidentally ripped the headliner. Not the...

    2014 Model S - 68k mi. - 28k of warranty left - Autopilot and lifetime S-charging enabled- $45k OBO

Only asking $43k now. There is a caveat that there is work (fully warranty-covered) that Tesla may not be able to do by time of sale that you might have to bring it in for when they have the parts in (just an interior cosmetic issue, not functionality-related at all). Car is still in San Jose.

    2014 Model S - 68k mi. - 28k of warranty left - Autopilot and lifetime S-charging enabled- $45k OBO

Hi all, I posted this car before, but I've added miles, have new pictures, and have come down significantly on the price. I hope this isn't poor etiquette - the old post's title is just so inaccurate at this point. Full Tesla warranty (from CPO purchase) good until December 2021 or 96,161...

Hey everyone, I have for sale a 2014 MS 60 with: - AP1 (so, Tech Package, of course) - 19" Wheels - Tan Leather - Metallic Blue paint - White CA HOV stickers (placed as unsightly as possible, if I do say so myself) - 196 range at 100% (Have yet to try to re-calibrate, but can't imagine it'd get...

Owners delivery stories, photos and first impressions

Took delivery of a 2014 MS60 just about a month ago and wanted to give some first impressions and thoughts since this thread has been so insightful for me prior to getting a Tesla. CPO Process: Wasn't originally much interested in a CPO since I thought that I'd surely be looking at $55k+ for an...

Just took delivery 2 weeks ago of a CPO 2014 S 60 with: - AP1 (so, Tech Package, of course) - 19" Wheels - Tan Leather - Metallic Blue paint - Brand new tires during CPO reconditioning I was a day-one Model 3 reservationist and becoming an owner shot me to the front of...

Should I buy this CPO 2014 MS 85

@calisnow Thanks so much for the detailed reply and all the info. I have an AP1 CPO on the way, plus a 3 reservation, so I'm excited to eventually try both for myself!

Ah, I see. Any AP1 experience to compare that to?

Should I buy this CPO 2014 MS 85

@calisnow I'm curious now. You're the first person I've seen defend AP2 this rigorously. I have driven neither, but I've read SOOOO much about how AP1 is generally better, so I was not surprised at all to hear @TaoJones take his stance. A recent reddit post from an L.A. driver compared AP1 and...

Buying new with the intent to sell soon-ish?

Yeah, the idea is that buying used avoids the massive initial hit - not that's it's immune to depreciation completely. Yeah, I gotcha. The question I'm trying to answer is: Is that chunk of change worth going new instead of used? I don't think this is some kind arbitrage opportunity where I'm...

Buying new with the intent to sell soon-ish?

Escape, no, of course not. But lessen, yes. And, yes, I'll definitely be getting an inventory car. I'm not picky enough to need to custom order one.

Buying new with the intent to sell soon-ish?

I'd appreciate any advice you all are willing to throw my way. I will soon be between a lease and my Model 3 delivery (Jan-Mar, but obviously not counting on that to be accurate). I live in Los Angeles. My consulting business has me driving an average of 120 miles a day, which has me willing to...

    Like-new 2017 Model X 90D for sale or long-term rental

What are the chances you'd rent it out in a shorter term? Something in the 5-6 month range. I understand there'd be a premium, if you'd even consider it.

    Inv MS 90D for $665/month...$75k

Ah, yes, so I'm thankfully very familiar with leasing (not that I don't appreciate your explanation), but the problem here was that I didn't know that Tesla pricing could be so dynamic. Seems that simply by the time I clicked on the link, the price had changed. Which is crazy to me - that prices...

    Long-term Model S rental/very short-term lease/other solution?

Ah, I'll try that. I had thought about it, but figured it was a losing battle to get them down that low. I'll give it a go. Thanks!

Wow. That's a pretty good idea. Some quick Googling shows BMW may offer at least a couple of months - possibly more. Thanks!

    Long-term Model S rental/very short-term lease/other solution?

So, I have a BMW i3 right now. The lease ends in just about 5 weeks. I'm an evening-of-3/31/16 reservationist and a California resident. When I made my reservation, I didn't think I'd getting a 3 until mid-to-late 2018. I figured I could buy something used for a year or so, then sell it when I...
