Used Model 3s - Key information

Hi @Akikiki - I don't see any For Sale section within TMC generally or within each model breakdown, only the five major sections. I would agree the question likely belongs in such a category. Can you link? I'm not sure what you mean by the like posts as I'm relatively new to the forums but the...

Model Y Performance - Snow Tires Possible?

There are true snow tires (snow flake on tires) in every size wheel (19, 20, 21) with the only variance being their availability and cost. Tesla now looks to have two sets of winter wheels/tires set, one at 3500 and one at 4000 (includes TPMS). Depending on what tire size you opt for, you can...

I feel like an idiot...(assumed 240V adapter still included)

Yes it would have been nice to have also had the NEMA 14-50 adapter but like someone said, Tesla changed their policy on this a while ago and currently is just the 100v (5-15) adapter and the J1772 adaptor. I'd definitely recommend getting a NEMS 14-50 outlet for your house or plan on either...

Tire dilemma for winter: Long and warm drive to the snow.

In my experience, all season wheels are just 'meh' in both winter and spring/summer/fall driving. They don't go far enough for performance wheels and can't really hold their own in winter conditions. Yes, an extra pair of wheels (and tires) is an additional expense but ensuring the safety of...

    Model Y TPMS?

I've looked around for the Model Y TPMS, and outside of Tesla, I don't think they (yet) exist. I also confirmed this today with the Tesla SC advisor. Got quoted at $75/sensor or $300 w/o tax for four. Ordering some 255/45-19 wheels and tires to be shipped to local tirerack supplier to get it all...

Model Y - Snow Tires Recommendations

Here are your options for Tesla Model Y tires, per page 182 of the Tesla Model Y manual. I would stick with either a 19" or 20" winter tire set instead of trying to get a staggered set of winter 21"'s, which will be quite expensive.

Model Y Performance - Snow Tires Possible?

Whatever winter tire is chosen, tires must be the same diameter, brand, construction and tread pattern on all four wheels. Kirbo20's idea might work. I'll ask Tesla this week. Going with the Alpin PA4 seems problematic given the rear tire loadset is less than required (275/35-21 103W)

Model Y Performance - Snow Tires Possible?

A different perspective. Are winter tires necessary? I've seen several Model 3 Performance cars in the middle and northern US that come with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and Model S with Continental ExtremeContact DW or Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, where the owner didn't opt for winter tires. At...

Possible to schedule multiple service appointments

I took delivery yesterday, looked it over (still within first 24 hrs), and then wanted to submit several requests only to find out I could seemingly only submit one. It doesn't look you can schedule a service appt from any other location other than the mobile app. Not possible thru the web...

Only one service appointment at a time?

Did anyone figure out a way to schedule multiple service appointments? I took delivery yesterday, looked it over (still within first 24 hrs), and then wanted to submit several requests only to find out I could seemingly only submit one. It doesn't look you can schedule a service appt from any...

    Quarter end incentives

I would very much doubt that supply has caught up with demand. Local SC gets truckloads of MYs every couple of days and they disappear only to be replaced again with a new batch. I wouldn't expect any incentives for the MY currently. But as always, make sure to order your MY with a referral code.

    August/September VIN Notifications and Deliveries

"Christmas morning" for me today! MY Performance PUP, Blue/Black, Autopilot, 21", No tow Ordered: 8/15 VIN in MVPA: 9/6 (23 days) Delivery: TBD. Awaiting call from advisor VIN: 46XXX When does it show up in the Tesla app?

Predictions - Price increase by September End?

I would think that a price increase is in the cards for the Model S & X, assuming the release of the 'Plaid mode" iteration of each. Increases in the Model Y and 3, IHMO, are unlikely at least for now, as this new tech will be going towards the S, X (plaid iterations), Semi, and CyberTruck and...

    Using Carvana to Trade-In, thoughts?

Before I went the route of private selling my car, I did the following. 1) Got quotes from Vroom, Carmax, Carvana. All low balls for the car 2) Got quotes from 8 physical dealerships in the area. Low ball quotes I put the car up on CarGurus a little more than a month ago and got a lot of...

Wiki Teslike Model Y Survey & Order Tracker Spreadsheet

No MVPA yet for me either. It does look like from the spreadsheet that car color, trim, and wheel size are affecting timing of the VINs. The more common, the quicker the turn around. While I'd like to get mine as soon as possible, a healthy part of me is fine with a bit later VIN (within the...

Quality of new MY's - is it better now?

I've definitely seen better quality with later VIN ranges. Earlier ones definitely had their share of fit/finish items but these have *mostly* been fixed on the recent VIN range. I saw several in the 33XXX range that looked very good.

    VIN Ranges and Sampled Observations

It is great to see that Tesla is rapidly fixing identified quality issues during the build process. Earlier vin ranged models that had issues aren't seen in later models.

    VIN Ranges and Sampled Observations

In an effort to proactively see progress on quality issues that we have identified, I decided to do some random sampling of non-customer delivered Model Ys in the area. I've got a MYP Blue on order so several of these will be the blue variant but I've also included at least one of the rest of...

    Ceramic or PPF

@Tyncam I don't know if its available where you are but if you're considering PPF, ask around for detailers that use graphene. All the benefits of PPF and then some. Pretty amazing stuff. Saw a LR MY and PMY in the area that had what I'm planning to do. I'm doing graphene on the front half of...

32XXX Model Y LR AWD - Very satisfied

Looking good! Could you take and post a zoomed in picture of the charge port door and the tail lights? I haven't yet but am excited to see that these are now flush. Thank you!

    Battery Day

And if these upgrades did come to the Model Y, we'd likely hit a rather justifiable price hike based on the enhanced capabilities. I don't think its in the cards for the Y/3 as these new batteries are destined for the new plaid S/X, roadster, semi, and the cybertruck.

    Tesla Paint

@gundarx These pictures of the e-coat paint issues, yes? Can you please post a set of revised pictures after the repainting? I've got a blue model YP on order and want to be mindful if I see the same thing. Thank you!

Anyone regret not opting for performance?

Opted for the performance model Y after a couple test drives in the non-performance and then the performance. That level of performance is intoxicating. It is somewhat of a bummer that I didn't buy before they forced all new PYs to be on the 21" wheels; the 19"s would have been fine and better...

New car defects. Does Tesla offer discounts?

So if I had a checklist and in going through it for a MYP, I decided not to accept the car. How does this process work? How do you document these issues back to Tesla while you're onsite? Service to fix onsite for some stuff?

Any Colorado deliveries post factory reopen?

Typo fixed. 4k for 2020 and then 2.5k for 2021
  32. fighter007

Any Colorado deliveries post factory reopen?

For CO, its 4k for the 2020-2021 tax cycle. After 1/1/20, it is reduced to 2.5k for the 2021-2022 tax cycle. And yes, you'll need to claim on your tax return for this year.
