If you had read my follow up post below, you would have realized that I agreed having someone put words in Tesla’s mouth is reckless. Aside from that, having a conversation regarding owners charge limit during a quarantine is completely fine and reasonable, not RECKLESS at all.

I totally agree with you that nobody should be putting words in Tesla's mouth, so yes that comment shouldn't have happened whoever said it. As for the other part of this conversation, discussing with owners where they are placing their charge % during this time is completely reasonable.

If I have an unexpected emergency my car at 60% can go nearly 200 miles :D and I don’t think I have ever driven that many miles unless on a road trip. No family out of state so no reason to ever drive that far.

Thats awesome. I utilize wireless charging way too much on my phone to be able to obtain that setup. But one day I would love to be just my phone, and ditch my wallet + keys.

I have driven 1-5 from Portland - LAX, LAX back to Portland twice now, with no noticeable rock chip damage. As long as you don't get too close to the cars in front of you, you should be ok.

Last time I charged to 100% was about 5 months ago and it displayed the full 325 miles. May 2018 build with about 16,000 miles on it at the time. Have only charged to 100% about three times and I dont supercharge often.

How did your situation end up?

My understanding is each service center capacity varies. My SC in Portland has always given me a higher end Model S while they have worked on my Model 3.

I would say on average about 25 miles a day would be my average commute.

After one year of ownership and about 18,000 miles, a full 325 mile charge at 100%. In case it matters to anyone, I charge to 80% overnight, have only Supercharged maybe 20 times, and only have charged to 100% twice.
