Just used this site ... battery was cold but saw 72 top rate for little time mostly sub 50....
Not great but maybe it was cold battery ?... $16 , there’s a free site around Seattle just requires more time and luck. .... I’ll go back to .
Moving forward ... been 1 week without the car estimate is another 17 days waiting on parts... there was unseen damage I guess.
looking like 1 month total over a small bump that left no damage to the other car, Tesla approved body shop so they work on them all the time.. the insurance company...
I’m sure the insurance company will handle the pricing and what they feel is fair. It’s already reported so I want to get it done right and by approved shop.
thing is this car folded like a paper tiger , the other car had a scratch on the plastic bumper and I have this. I’ll post updates as we...
Be careful out there folks ... this little bump is $6.5k in damage .... I will be without the car for 2-3 weeks ... I’m sure they will hash out and negotiate it to $5k or less .
On second thought that sounds expensive but I do remember getting a quote for door damage and panel on my 10 yr old...
I’ve seen a few Tesla accident repair videos so far it looks like that can be fixed (not cutting out and welding new piece) I must have been going 5 mph .... smash all that from the plastic bumper of a Jeep... crazy
Will do....
Just had a flash to go check my dash cam footage of the accident so I could see how much of a poor move I made. Sadly I didn’t hit the button so by now it’s overwritten.... that sinking feeling I forgot all about the dash cam. Remember it’s there folks.
yeah I am thinking $5k easy, I left my number for the other car he may be at $500 who knows. I already started the insurance process , we will see how it turns out. I can drive the car just fine, will post results.
Yeah I figured that after the fact... must have cleared it just fine but my correction over is what screwed me. When I was driving after the fact I drove close to some walls and cars and again the sensor sounds don’t do a great job other than parking ... just a warning that’s all .
Also can anyone tell me how the using approved vs non approved shops works?
I was going to sell this car in a year or so... I knew the financial hit was going to be big... this accident on the report may add a few $ thousand off.... what can you do... the hit is the hit.....$$
Kind of bummed, tight streets in Seattle sometimes we get in jams and squeeze by opposing cars. Done this 1k times no issues I made it through halfway never heard an alert in the car when I corrected over back half hit the parked car on the road.
Very minimal damage to parked car... a scratch...
Tore me up when I hit and killed a raccoon , I drove back to site hoping it survived....
I hunt bears on my Xbox but would hate if I did this. Glad you made it, scary stuff.
Good luck
so folks.... I’ve hit 10k miles after owning the AWD model 3 for 6 months. I’ve done both personal and business miles but a majority was rideshare use. My case for buying this car was I knew I would utilize it on the rideshare platforms to help pay for the car, or at least offset so here are my...
I was hoping he would at least start out and have real Tesla owners driving folks around.... kind of get the ball rolling , provide commercial insurance for a cut of the fare and get the buzz going. I’m sure folks would ditch the crappy unknown many complain about they get on Uber and opt for...
Lately I’ve noticed a lot with TACC and AP.... it’s annoying and other folks must think we are idiots.
I have my foot more over the gas ready to
Press these days. Hope it gets fixed
Checking back in
Looks like drive time only I did great at 17 hours for the trip down.... the stops added 4.5 hrs.
Drive time back closer to 18 hrs , daytime hitting traffic at times. Those times are per Tesla Fi.
SC at times I was hitting 425 mph at the peak.... there is a learning curve...
managed 290 w/m for the round trip.
Charging fairly easy but lots of stops ... sometimes the GPS wants to play it really safe, I over rode this a few times, and sometimes I stopped quickly to play it safe.
What I noticed most
A/C use even on low is good for 35-45 of the 290 W/M which is far...
After all the latest pricing games?
Slashing 2018 buyers on a whim....
No thanks I’m good on EAP @ $5k i paid.
Account showing $5k today for FSD after $2k yesterday.
One area of rattles are the seatbelts hitting the plastic.
Other than that on rough roads I have a slight rattle in front of the steering wheel where the dash board meets another section. If I push down sometimes it will go away for some time.
Try firm presses in some of the areas... I may try...
Start ridesharing.... my ride is a revenue generator .... resale
Is bye bye so what does ware matter.
I’ve done about $3500 in revenue so far wish me luck. 3700 miles on odometer of which some are personal.
I won’t be buying it unless it is absolute must have over the “enhanced EAP “ we have.
You know the one that slams on brakes and has hesitations here and there.
Not complaining but there is a diligence one must have when enabling these things.
Fair and I ordered and received quickly. Also right many RWD would have gotten AWD if the time frame was more clear.
I’m fine I’ll live
3,300 miles on the car some have been personal.
I’ve generated over $3k in revenue... $52k to go wish me luck. This thing is a fun rideshare car.
I agree it’s not the whining or price drop.
It’s seeing others get comp in a way and AWD being left out that’s not cool.
I can live with the $3k loss or so... just more rideshare driving going forward.
Dec AWD buyer here I’ve refused to do the math.... in my mind I’m thinking basically it washed the benefit of the $7500 tax credit right?
Or did we get hit even more?
Also no upgrade for AWD firmware is disappointing.
Glad to report the issue fixed itself. The car was parked for 1.5 days and I did charge it a bit , so not sure what caused it to fix.
I must say it was alarming the day it happened and how it wouldn’t come back with numerous reboots and letting it sit at the time.
This just happened today.
Playing a song from USB ... received a call and boom speakers in rear and side now out with popping sounds .... if I move balance to front no popping sound only low quality music.
Phone call and audio voice command no longer works... interesting I found this and it’s...
All this talk is making me question writing off my Auto Pilot purchase of $6k.
I’ve had one tax guy say yes use bonus depreciation. Another say not sure. To me purchasing after the car was bought , it’s software and a tool to be used in business like any other.
Details 1099 car used 90%...
AWD
Is less efficent but the real range killer is using any kind of AC controls.
Out the gate my first 1.5 k miles were 310 w/m ..... i now implemented Chill and am sitting at 284 for the most recent 400 miles.
There are long stretches and good runs i can get in the 235-245 range.
Overall...
Got it , my garage is 3 miles from downtown Seattle .... i will now consider myself in suburbia.
I mentioned if i was out and past Northgate or in Belleve areas and really needed to juice up quickly, i have not found going to the superchargers a major issue.
If I’m around north gate near the freeway and need the juice (sub 50 miles in range) I’ll just hit AP and go to Lynwood . Bellevue and needing a charge , AP over to Issaquah.
Thing is SC is free for me for the next 6 months , no way I’m paying parking fees and SC fees to juice up, car will just...
When I look at my Model 3 and think if I was to change my mind on the car at any point I factor in.
Sales Tax $6k gone
Tax Credit $7.5 k gone
Mileage .... $1 per mile.
There is a $15k bath on my car if I’m lucky.... luckily I like it so far and intend to keep barring any financial change...
Why the difference on Tesla Fi versus the Tesla on KW/MI for a drive?
My numbers never match up is Tesla Fi more accurate on what a trip is really costing me ?
Electricity costs ... my monthly bill spike was pretty high.... the amounts shown on Tesla Fi seem smaller in comparison .... is it...
Doors do take extra to close, I’m going to give it some time.
Audi Auto Latch is such a beautiful feature you barely close the door and it closes em .... miss it on this vehicle .
I was one who went back and forth on the wheels.... even said what if I purchase after market 20’s ... the Tesla ones.
But now that I’ve had the at I have not felt once looking at it or inside I need better wheels. The car experience is so much more. My Aeros are on and cap kit still sealed in...
I’ll say this , I don’t n know why I wasted time fretting over the 19 or 18” debate.
I have the 18”s , Aeros on and have not thought twice about the look. The $50 cap pack sits sealed.... folks should stick to 18 and call it a day.
$0
Vac and some Tesla all weather mats. If it’s anything like my other vehicle I’ve used for 3 years part time and I won’t even have it on those risky hours should remain low.
Tesla name brand alone would steal from both companies no doubt.
Be selective of times the Tesla is on the app. Also very dependent on city. Rider rating matters .... you can ignore those low rated pax. Select and Lux tier levels don’t hurt either, my main driver will still be my 9 year old...
