    Sick of waiting? Vent here

Spare a thought for the people in right-hand drive countries like Australia. If all goes to plan, production doesn't even start on those until sometime in 2019, and I'd bet it'll easily be more like 2020 before we see them here.

    Model 3 review

Glad to see he didn't try to rip the screen off with a plunger like his Model X review ...

    Touch screen feature wish list

A simple nit-picky request: round off the upper portion of the UI to match the lower portion. This could be easily done with a software update.

Why not make the cards smaller?

I think the credit card size is pretty perfect and convenient for most people. The only thing I don't think is convenient is the fact that (I think) you need to place the card in the centre console to start the car. If this is correct I think that would be a bit annoying. My current car has...

Blog Model 3 Owner Shows Off Autopark Feature

It's mainly just taking care of the steering and positioning. I guess it mostly takes longer as I don't exactly trust it so I'm being more careful. Obviously it's only using a few simple sensors unlike a Tesla so it's been a bit off on a couple of occasions.

Blog Model 3 Owner Shows Off Autopark Feature

I suppose if this is an AP thing then the car would be doing everything itself (steering and pedals etc), but aside from the pedals my 2016 Golf can auto park like this, as well as parallel park itself. However I have never used it as it takes 6 times longer than doing it yourself.

Will we have to leave Bluetooth on all the time on our phones?

Hmm I thought it used NFC, not bluetooth.. I guess that's just for the keycard.

    No Autopilot, No cruise control?

This could be a big hurdle for me if I were to consider getting a Model 3. I have radar cruise on my current Golf (part of a AUD $1,500 safety package) and couldn't imagine my next car NOT having it, but having to cough up $7,300-ish (in AUD) because it's part of Autopilot, is kinda out of the...

    Model 3 Options Pricing

Forgive me if it's obvious but does the car have ANY sort of cruise control if you don't opt for Autopilot? After having active cruise control on my current car I couldn't go without it now, but if it's only available as part of the US$5,000 autopilot thing, then that's a major turn off.

    Model 3 Options Pricing

Not complaining about the cost of the upgrades, but after seeing the prices (and knowing that things will be significantly inflated here in Australia, the Model 3 that I'd really WANT is just too far out of my comfort zone in terms of how much I'd typically spend on a car (in the order of...

    Model 3 Handover Event -- July 28, 2017

Hurray, my worry about the large looking bezel on the display is gone! Glad that was changed.

    Model 3 Center Display

I'm interested to see how this goes in real world use (I'm sure it'll be fine for most people), but it's interesting that this kind of thing got past regulations etc.. I'm even a bit surprised touch screens have become such a common thing in modern cars. I certainly find them more fiddly and...

    Model 3 interior

Looks like the back of the front seats have a hard plastic backing. Not a fan of that, as a taller guy my knees are always pressing against the back of the front seats, and with hard plastic covers it makes it quite painful after a while.
