Supercharger - Anaheim, CA (LIVE 15 May 2019, 14 urban stalls, expansion permit Aug 2021)

Stopped by around 1pm. The privacy barrier on the fencing is down but no stoppers in place in the parking stalls yet. Definitely looks like this should be open within the week.

    M3 Break-in

UPDATE: However small the odds, it seems some semblance of justice may be served! I received a call from an Orange PD Detective today, and was informed that they have a suspect! More to follow soon... Between this and the news of a Sentry mode in development, just wow...what a difference a...

    SoCal Body shop recommendation

European Motor Car Works did a great job repairing my M3 bumper and fender after I was side swiped several months back. They’re off Pullman in Costa Mesa, right next to the Tesla Service Center.

    M3 Break-in

Thank you, going to give that a try. PD got dna samples from all three cars, there was a decent amount of blood. The crook also stole a beanie from my car, and left what I presume to be his beanie in my back seat....so I'm sure they got plenty of hair and other touch dna from that as well...

    M3 Break-in

Nothing visible in my car what so ever, all the perp got from me was a beanie I had tucked inside the driver side door. I can't speak for my neighbors cars...

    M3 Break-in

This was not the rear quarter panel window as you'll note by the photos I posted. It was the rear left passenger window.

    M3 Break-in

From what I understand, the M3 has an alarm system but would only trip upon a locked door being opened. Someone please correct me there if I'm wrong... With the tech the M3 has, I'm advocating for improvements to said alarm system that would set it off for window breaks while also activating...

    M3 Break-in

Yep! It actually happened in the parking area of the condo complex I live in. It's off a fairly quiet street, but being in such close proximity to Chapman Ave. makes for a quick escape I suppose.

    M3 Break-in

Unfortunately not at the time, I own and live in a condo with no garage parking - just a car port. I don't keep any valuables in my car so fortunately all I lost was a beanie and am mostly annoyed by the inconvenience of dealing with this and insurance. One of my neighbors happened to be one...

    M3 Break-in

Two neighbors and myself had our cars broken in to last night. The crook smashed the rear passenger window on all three of our cars to gain access, and proceeded to loot what he could find while bleeding all over the place. Luckily, most of the blood in my M3 was on the seats and cleaned up...

    2018.24 has Summon for M3?

Per Elon's twitter feed, he's stating the Model 3 software update is rolling out today. Looks like the S & X crowd got the update pushed a little earlier. Give it another 24 hours and I'm sure there will be something... I'm dying for it too!

The form is simple to fill out, sure. But this is a non-refundable tax credit we're talking about. Planning for that isn't so simple to the average person, and should be done with care so as to take full advantage of the credit. I envision there will be plenty of people out there who don't...

No, your CPA would need to do his/her due diligence on where the production levels were when your vehicle was placed in service. That information is published and widely available. Additionally, it's already widely known that Tesla has yet to hit the 200,000th vehicle and are likely waiting...

Nope, your CPA will just need to report your make, model, purchase date, and VIN number when claiming the credit on your Federal Tax return.

    Who's tinted their windows?

Got mine tinted at Signature Glass in Costa Mesa. Thanks to those in this thread who referred them, I was shopping around for a week or so and they seemed to have best reviews and competitive pricing. Went with 15% ceramic tint on all four sides and back, love it!

Supercharger - Santa Ana, CA (12 V2 stalls)

I'll definitely pay more attention next time, didn't even notice that. Admittedly I was not aware of that, but it totally makes sense, thanks! Is such severe fluctuation normal? Throughout the duration of my charge, it kept rising and falling between 30-80kwh. For reference, I started...

Supercharger - Santa Ana, CA (12 V2 stalls)

Seems I had the numbers mixed up and was probably seeing 2A and 2B down as well. I think I got a better idea now of how to report correct stall numbers going forward.

Supercharger - Santa Ana, CA (12 V2 stalls)

No doubt, I'm a new owner and was just counting stall numbers going from left to right at Santa Ana. If ya don't mind elaborating further, since Santa Ana has 12 stalls, the correct way to list them then would be 1A, 1B, through 6A, 6B? I presume that's what you meant but just want to be sure...

Elon tweets about assembly line built using scrap parts

No, it's not. Elon's words verbatim: "They also poured the concrete & built the whole assembly line using scrap we had in warehouses. And it’s way better than the other GA line that cost hundreds of millions!" So again, where does he say the Model 3's themselves are being built from scrap...

Supercharger - Santa Ana, CA (12 V2 stalls)

I did, was told they were aware. Ah ok, I could have swore 12 was taped off too... admittedly I didn't walk down to the end. I'm curious, what charge rates do you average there? I've been 3 times now and have yet to exceed an average rate of 60KWH.

Supercharger - Santa Ana, CA (12 V2 stalls)

Update 6/18/18: Stopped by today around 4pm...there are at least three chargers out of service (Stalls #10-12) and taped off. Additionally, the first charger (Stall #5) I hooked into would go up to 24KWH, then drop to 5KWH....it did this consistently over the course of several minutes, so I...

[Poll]: What was your last car before you ordered (or reserved) Tesla Model 3?

Not quite, but I was spending approx. $300-400/mo. on gas with that beast. It has the 5.7L V8 Hemi -- so I'd average somewhere around 13-15 mpg. Talk about making a complete 180 and stepping into the future. No turning back!!

    Phone Call Echo

I've experienced the same issue twice now this week. I have an iPhone X and have had no problems up until this point. What's interesting is the first time I experienced it, I took a phone call and was hearing myself echo. The second time, I made a phone call and the person on the other end...

    Let's talk financing rates

Dropping in to share my experience getting financing. As many before me in this thread have, I first tried with Ryan @ FPCU in Irvine. I asked a few specific questions up front, main one being what kind of rates FPCU could offer with no money down. I received a prompt, boilerplate response...

No email here either, just been religiously checking my account thrice a day for many a day. I was able to configure and the site has since seemed to freeze up. Was in the middle of updating drivers license and insurance info and cant seem to get it to re-load.

Do you plan to pay for your TM3 with Bitcoins?

I don't own any crypto-currency. With what expendable income I do have, I invest in stocks. Just wanted to hear the opinions of those here who perhaps hold both BTC and ETH and may be more knowledgeable about block chain and crypto-currencies than I. Again, I've read up on it a modest...

Do you plan to pay for your TM3 with Bitcoins?

Anyone here also have any Ether? From everything I've read, consensus seems to have it being the better play in the long run. Also, for those who might not already be aware - the IRS received a favorable ruling yesterday from a judge that compels Coinbase to produce information on all users...

Exactly! The add'l interest expense on a 72 mo. loan compared to 60 mo. financed at 2.24% is only ~ $600 (based on a $50k loan).
