    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

I'm not sure what you think is going on with my car, but I was holding my phone with my hand and steering with the other leading to a lot of jostling. Car sounds pretty quiet while I drive.

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

Not sure what the nag interval is like. I was driving around the city mostly and trying to see how the exit stuff works, but I'm not sure what it's supposed to do over what TACC did before. It seemed like it wasn't as aggressive in speed, but not sure if that's all it's referring to.

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

I'm not a "special beta participant." Just got the update over the air. I just went out for a drive and couldn't get the highway exit slowdown to work. But I did take a video of the adjacent lane stuff if people are interested:

Car now slows down for highway exits and shows cars in adjacent lanes.

Three-position dynamic LED turning lights in new, custom Model S

I have a base Model S75. My car has the performance (tested using PowerTools), but had to have my lights retrofitted. Do you have data that leans towards you not having the right performance?

Service looked at it again and although the gateway sees the car as properly configured, the body control module still needs to be manually configured for it to work after the retrofit (as was done for @hulk2k17 ). The service center said there was no bulletin they could work off, so they are...

Thanks everyone. I'll pass on to the service center that they are clearly mistaken.

Yes, I went to the service center and the lead tech looked at the body control module and said it was fine. Nothing working still. Do you know what they did to the body control module?

I had mine installed yesterday. They waited around 30 minutes after the install for an engineer to try to push the config change. But no one was available, so I had to drive it home. Panoramic vs standard roof

I live in Minnesota so the pano roof wouldn’t get much use from me, so I bought with the standard glass roof. After being in cars with pano, I’ve concluded that I love my roof a lot more compared to the pano. It’s more sleek looking and less noise at speed.

I was told that they are "in contact with the leadership in my area" to get an update, and they're seeing what the options are for expediting any necessary parts. They will "keep me updated."

    2017.50 2275226 is out

I'm so happy they made this change. I love the easy entry, but I frequently pick my wife up and put the car in park, and it was really annoying to have the seats and steering wheel move to let her into the car.

How to add a HEPA filter to your non-Bioweapon facelift Model S!

So is Autopilot. BWDM is one of the limited number of features now in the premium package, it's understandable why they'd want to limit activation for those who don't have premium.

Just got new update: 2017.42 a88c8d5

I think you missed the joke in there. Also, to be pedantic, 127.0.0.1 (usually known as localhost) is a loopback address (actually all of 127.0.0.0/8 are reserved to loopback behavior) and isn't really "assigned." However, 169.254.0.0/16 addresses are reserved to be assigned as "link local"...

    Firmware 8.1

I can say that since the one failure I had immediately after installing 2017.40.1, I haven't had another failure. That's the only homelink failure I've had since I got the car about a month ago.
  29. J

    Firmware 8.1

An extra level there usually indicates a patch level. So, if the development team has said "this is version 17.40" but they found a bug in the release, they'll call the patched version 17.40.1. I can't be certain that's what it means in this particular case, but I'm just throwing that out there.
  30. J

    Firmware 8.1

Did anyone else's Homelink stop working with 2017.40.1? I suspect I have to reset it with my garage opener, just wondering if it's a widespread issue.

    GPS Position Stuck??!

@d21mike @rnortman TACC is not dependent on GPS, except in determining the offset speed from the speed limit. For example, my offset is +8 mph. Even if I'm driving on a residential road, if I just enable TACC, it will go +8 mph over the speed limit. The case where you get limited to +5 mph over...

What is the best dash camera for the Model S nowadays?

That's insane. I've honestly never done a single thing on a car before I purchased my Tesla (to be fair, I only had 1 other car). I installed the front/rear dashcam in 2 hours. The hardest part was running the cables from the speaker grille area through the plastic rearview mirror piece. I also...

Refresh Model - weather tech or tesla branded ?

I bought the Tesla all-weather mats and they work great. Note that the Tesla mats you buy now are made by WeatherTech! I just took delivery of my car a couple weeks ago, so I can't comment on the old Tesla all-weather mats, but it appears they have been redesigned: Review: Tesla All-Weather...

Issue upon receiving my Model S 2017

    Firmware 8.1

Confirmed. I just updated to 2017.38 f87c64d5. Hopefully it fixes the stuck GPS and steering assist reduced bugs with AP2.5. I think I received this update since my reports went to engineering.

    GPS Position Stuck??!

FYI, after submitting multiple bug reports and working with my Service Center, they've confirmed there is a firmware bug with the new autopilot hardware. So, if you took delivery of your car recently and have AP 2.5, and have this bug, then you have to wait for new firmware to fix the bug. He...

    Politics - Quarantine Thread

I wrote up a long response but decided to delete it. Suffice it to say, I'm FAR from an entitled elitist. I expect more from a company whose goal is 30% gross margins -- something needs to justify that.
