    Rainbow "warning" at taillights

Has anyone seen such rainbow banner tagged at the taillight? I was driving on freeway and thought the trunk was open. I stopped to check but it was closed. No effect on autopilot or automatic lane change. Any thoughts?

New tires needed after less than 30k miles

Good point. I'll send it Costco for rotation every $6k-7k miles going forward since it's included in the purchase of new tires.

New tires needed after less than 30k miles

I was hoping to get 40k out of this new set with annual alignment. I'll wait to see if that's realistic.

New tires needed after less than 30k miles

Tesla would charge $260 for alignment. I did it at Sullivan tires and paid $200.

    Makes sense. Thanks for explaining!

New tires needed after less than 30k miles

I changed tires usually after 40k-45k miles on both the Toyota Camry and the Volvo XC60 I owned. Hence I was shocked by the 30k life of Tesla tires. I ended up replacing them with Michelin cross-climate, 4 costing $860 instead of the $1280 that was asked for by Tesla service center. Costco guy...

New tires needed after less than 30k miles

2018 long range dual motor. At FSD upgrade the service center told me that front tires are almost bald on inner edge due to wheel misalignment. I ended up replacing all 4 at Costco and did a 4-wheel alignment afterwards at another tire shop. I don't recall ever doing an alignment on Toyota...

Why does everyone keep saying AP+FSD=$5000?

Ahah, I paid $8000 for EAP+FSD in 2018. it turned out that I only overpaid by around $2500 instead of the originally thought $5500. If Elon can honor $1000 kickback I’ll be content. Besides the early access program seems really cool and invaluable. I encourage everyone to think in the positive...

Why does everyone keep saying AP+FSD=$5000?

    Thanks! That explains it.

Why does everyone keep saying AP+FSD=$5000?

If I place an order of model 3, the Tesla website clearly adds $3000 for AP and $5000 for FSD, so that's $8000 in total. When I bought the car in 2018 it was $5000 EAP + $3000 FSD = $8000 in total. So nothing changed with regard to this feature combo. Am I missing something?

First long EV trip - 8000 miles roundtrip

On #4, definitely check with service center. I had a similar occurrence that went away on its own. However remote diagnosis indicated the defective steering column part that was later replaced.

    Successful Installation of SiriusXM radio

Wow! This is mind boggling! I need time to digest it!

    Successful Installation of SiriusXM radio

Nice install! Can you share more pictures and descriptions about how you routed the antenna and FM transmitter into the radio car kit? Also how did you connect the kit to the 12V outlet without having wire dangling outside the center storage?

Fumes/Burnt smell in Tesla Model 3

I think it's related to the resistive heat. My baseboard electric heater in the house had the similar "burn-in" period after installation.

why satellite radio should have been an option

You need a remote control for the radio car kit with preset channels. Then you won't need to fumble for the radio during driving. It took me a few trials to settle on a reliable FM channel in Boston suburb. I usually only listen to news or talk shows on Sirius so the sound quality isn't a concern.

why satellite radio should have been an option

Successful Installation of SiriusXM radio Please check out the way I installed it. The radio is stored under the armrest.

    Successful Installation of SiriusXM radio

    1. I don't have unlimited cellphone data plan 2. Satellite works in areas without cell signal

    Successful Installation of SiriusXM radio

I haven't tried putting the antenna inside the car. My guess is the signal will be weaker. There is indeed a white antenna designed for marine use. It may also work on cars but you want to double check. https://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-Sirius-SIRMARINE-Marine-Antenna/dp/B000SSKZ2C

    Successful Installation of SiriusXM radio

See pictures attached. Step 1. Put the magnetic antenna near the edge of the rear door chrome trim. Bend the cable then tuck it along the chrome delete downward towards the opening of the rear door. See 'sirius1.jpg'. Step 2. Tuck the antenna cable beneath the rubber/plastic trim insulation as...

    Concern of battery leaking?

Thanks! It sounds very assuring! Your analogy is great except that I also had to google what a CNC mill is. To continue beating the dead horse though, I've seen Youtube videos where people took apart the Tesla battery pack with a jackhammer and did see liquid coming out of the battery cells...

    Concern of battery leaking?

Hello forum users! As a model 3 reservation holder, I understand that Tesla battery has more advanced technology than the AA batteries. However given how frequent we see AA batteries leaking after 1 year of usage, is this even a concern for Tesla users? Has anyone heard of Tesla batteries...
