Fair. I put more blame (minor, but still) on Tesla for not properly socializing the roof rack mount design ahead of time. The mount point design must have been finalized 2+ years ago.

FYI all, got this from Yakima support today: "I've spoken with our Automotive Team and we are in the design phase for the Model 3 roof rack. We are looking at a January 2019 time frame." Not sure why it takes well over a year to design a roof rack...

The reservations are non-transferable and title will go to your cousin. You should probably just reserve yourself. :)
