12v battery died while main battery was fully charged and car plugged in to charger

Sorry to necro this thread, but I didn't really see an answer to this... James May actually just posted a video about this, based on an actual call with Tesla: Basically, if the car is plugged it, it actually WON'T charge the 12V. The 12V is only kept topped off when the car is NOT plugged in...

New Model X - Instrument Cluster doesn't boot, but car drives

I had the same issue on my 2017 Model 75D I took delivery of in September. The double-scroll button reboot has fixed it each time. Let us know if that fixes it for you.

    Glove Box Latching

I hate to bring this back up...but it just started happening to my wife's Model S following a recent software update. Did we ever find a resolution to this? It is definitely NOT random. The glove box clearly opens, purposefully, every time the car is unlocked. It's consistent and happens on...

Took Delivery of my 100D today. Extremely pleased!

Yes, I have PUP. I don't believe the kit comes on non-PUP vehicles.

Someone got in my car and I'm going crazy trying to figure out how

Tesla did recently (in 2017.34 2448cfc I believe) allow you to disable Passive Entry. Doing this completely mitigates the passive entry attack. You could still have a repeater attack, but it'll require button presses and is a whole lot harder to do. -Rob

Someone got in my car and I'm going crazy trying to figure out how

If you want a very simple, cheap, and less ... pungent solution, you can get these velcro pouches on Amazon for $8 and they work like a charm. I just toss my keys in one every evening: http://amzn.to/2xwVgKc -Rob

Someone got in my car and I'm going crazy trying to figure out how

I have the 4-channel Blackvue system installed in my Model X. I have pretty close to 360 degree coverage. The normal "rear" cameras are installed on the inside of the front doors pointed out. There is a very small "dead" spot on each side out of view of the side cameras and the Rear camera...

Model X 7 First Imoressions 7 days after delivery. From Volvo XC60/BMW 335is

Ha! I had this exact same problem happen this weekend on my week-old Model X. I used the same fix, hasn't repeated. Don't forget to file a Bug Report, the SC told me this is how they can more easily comb through the logs to diagnose the issues.

Xpel/Suntek ClearBra + Coating + BlackVue installer recommendation in Bay Area

If you want Blackvue Dashcams installed, the best is Calibred Customs (calibredcustoms.com). Darius did my 4-channel set up in my Model X and it was suberb. I'm doing a video review. No cables are visible anywhere. They do "road trips" to the Bay Area (located in LA), I know he drove all the...

Took Delivery of my 100D today. Extremely pleased!

Check your glove box. The Phone Dock kit may be in there along with the bolsters. You should have a total of 7 pieces (4 bolsters (2 for a standard size iPhone and 2 for an iPhone Plus), 1 dock connector, 1 USB to Lightning cable, 1 USB to micro-USB cable). Instructions for installation are...

You know you can adjust how far the port is away from the wall of the dock? Check out this video where someone swaps out the micro-USB for a USB-C, and you'll see how you can adjust it: -Rob

iPhone dock before Model X delivery?

I took delivery of my 2017 Model X 75D on September 3rd. It had the Premium package and the iPhone lightning connector was pre-installed in the vehicle. I also have a mini-USB cable that can be swapped out for it. -Rob

    New rear seats

Exactly why I opted for the 6-seater with a console. The seats are much more comfortable, especially for long-trips. I know I sacrificed storage space, but I felt the trade-off was worth it, we'd rarely be able to fold the 2nd row as a family. -Rob

    New 90D AP 2.5??

Too late. As of 08:33 pm PST on Sunday 09/10/17, there are no Model S vehicles in New Inventory on the site, any battery pack size.

Anyone? Loud buzzing noise when supercharging

This just happened to me at my first Supercharger in a Model X. Read this thread, tapped Climate to off, noise wound down like a turbine stopping. Definitely the A/C unit.

So Like it has been a month, and how many new Model 3s are out?

Just an FYI. Picked up my 2017 Model X yesterday at the new Freemont Delivery Center, they were delivering 3 Model 3s, on a Sunday.
