A service technician told me that a firmware update will fail if there is a pending fault condition... i.e. parking brake needs service warning.

The technician actually said to maybe pull the fireman plug when the other tries failed. But at the time, I had lost hope and didn't try until seeing your post. Thanks again, btw. And I like wrenching on my vehicle too, but wasn't thinking I'd need to in the first couple of weeks.

I have a MX and couldn't get my fat paws to reach the positive terminal... Removing and reconnecting the ground cable did nothing. Please give your SC an earful about this firmware issue ;-)

Thanks. Will give that a try. The tech had me disconnect the ground lead... nothing... the car acted as if the battery was still fully connected.

So SC confirmed it's a firmware issue and they have no fix for it. But resetting 12V is supposed to work at least temporarily. And they told this can be done from within the car? Waiting on technician to call me back and walk me thru it...

My MX had 2017.38 yesterday and was working fine. Took update overnight to 2017.40.1 and now car displays Parking Brake Needs Service. I picked up my MX on 9/30/17.

I feel your pain... I had a delivery date of 9/18, but got news on 9/13 that my X was damaged in transport. I may have to reorder too...

I ordered a 100D... ~8 days in production and ~5 days in (rail) transit to Austin... Seems to take at least a few days once it arrives at destination to inspect the car and do a proper QA. Anything longer probably means something is getting adjusted or repaired.

Got an email yesterday morning asking me to submit payment for my car. I immediately sent email to my local DS and he confirmed my car had arrived. This morning my local DS informs me that there is a small dent above the center logo on the rear lift gate and that it will take 2 weeks to fix. And...

Sometime in the last couple of hours, estimated delivery changed to September 20, 2017 - October 4, 2017. Status still shows currently in production. Seems to be track with ~8 days in production and ~2 weeks for delivery?

Status change to 'currently in production' on morning of 8/29. No emails. No change in estimated delivery yet.

Are you reaching out to your DS requesting this info or is he/she just contacting you with an update out of the blue? I tried contacting my DS and received an auto-response saying he was busy and pls allow 24-48 hours for him to respond. It's been over a week and I still haven't received a response.
