The problem seems to be that when using Autopilot the wipers go to AUTO and you cannot set them to manual. In other words, on bright, clear, sunny days when the wipers are frantically racing back and forth, scratching your windshield, you cannot use autopilot. Tesla, please fix.

TMC community - I'm a little confused about the steering modes. I get that the resistance in the wheel changes but does it do anything else? For example does the turn ratio change? If it's just the resistance is that really a big deal?
