I wouldn't count on the 85kW battery. My Tesla just came off of production yesterday and has the 75kW code, not the 85kW code seen in other threads.

Same here. I ordered exactly what I wanted and don't mind waiting (too much). I wanted the 0.99% financing, but I'm not willing to give up getting the exact car I want.

I asked about switching to an inventory 90D, but Tesla said I'd lose my 2500 deposit. FYI.

I'm in no hurry. If I get a better car then all the better! I look at the price as a sunk cost and therefore jumping to inventory isn't too big of a draw...unless Tesla makes me an offer I can't refuse on inventory .

I'd like to know the truth data on that. I ordered a custom because of the quicker 0-60 and 2.5 hardware. Now orders are backed up and delivery for mine is late Oct, early Nov.

I was trying to be responsible and hold out for the Model 3 as an early reservation holder. Disappointed that early builds would not be dual motor. Took the fam to test drive an S. Ordered a 75D right after. Agree, don't drive one if you don't want to buy it!

I'm interested as well. How are you finding these cars? I'm waiting for my 75D and would jump to a 90D for a little more.
