Seems this resolved it. Texted our SC today and they confirmed our delivery for Friday finally.

UI / UX on the X and S are different than on the 3, what with two HUDs. Presumption is that has something to do with it given the difference in how the car can notify the driver.

Mine just came back from the same surgery and they did the same to me... except didn't even offer a $250 discount :( I've messaged them to see if they will still replace the screen.

They didn't replace my MCU for this issue, but flashed the firmware to get it to fully reboot again. It's really no different than a kernel panic.

This happened to me about 2 months ago. It wasn't an update, and it happened after I picked my car up from the valet. Only remedy was to take it to the service center. No manner of rebooting from the steering wheel would work. When I took it in, the tech said "wow, I've never seen that...
