2017 Model X Yoke Upgrade by Hannshow

I trawled the internet to see if there was a definitive position on whether the battery should be disconnected or not, but debate was divided. I also noted a video from T-Sportline that shows how to replace a Tesla steering wheel and there was no mention of disconnecting the battery. I did...

2017 Model X Yoke Upgrade by Hannshow

Curious about the new yoke in the upcoming Model S and Model X, I decided to take a leap of faith and purchase the Hannshow aftermarket yoke: 2012-2020 Model S/X Yoke Style Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel - Intelligentized Auto Parts | Hansshow The quality of this item is superb. I chose the Nappa...

    New Tesla app glitch?

Yes, that's how the visualisation has always worked. But the enlarged image surprised me. I can't seem to repeat it, though, hence why I figure it's a software glitch.

    New Tesla app glitch?

Unsure how I managed to enlarge the vehicle image in the refreshed Tesla app, but I do/did like it this way. This is the Android version of the Tesla app. Is this a feature? Has anyone else seen this happen in the revised Tesla app?

    Non-Performance Uncorked Acceleration

Oh, okay. I didn't know that. Hadn't seen that option until today and I'm sure it wasn't listed since Tesla introduced the additional specifications view. The vehicle accelerates stupendously, just as it's always done, although I rarely test "foot to the floor" acceleration these days.

    Non-Performance Uncorked Acceleration

I should have mentioned my vehicle updated to 2020.20.17 over the weekend.

    Non-Performance Uncorked Acceleration

I just noticed this option added to my 2017 Model X 75D. I noticed it whilst browsing the Manage page on the Tesla website under my vehicle Details.

Tesla scratched while summoning out of garage

So sorry to hear that happened to you MrKool. I have a tight garage with approx. 1ft 4" (40cm) clearance at the roller door. Most times the vehicle exit and enter without incident when moving directly straight. However, I have caught it on a few occasions whilst exiting where it steers sharply...

This truck design had better be a joke....

Well, it certainly did poralize opinions :-) I think it's still a work-in-process. There were no badges, no side-mirrors, lack of headlights, possibly lacking turn indicators, no winshield wiper(s) from what I can see etc. My first impression was what the ^#%@? But the more I look at it, the...

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.2.1 - new HOLD mode and other features

Precisely. I have witnessed this too, and was also told that Parisians leave their vehicles in neutral and without the handbrake activated, on flat roads of course, specifically to allow the vehicle to be nudged back and forth for other vehicles to park.

22 Inch Wheels/Tires- Have you bent or cracked them?

I'm interested to understand this too. Also interested in how lowering the suspension to "very low" improves range. Is it adviseable to drive long distances in "very low" setting?
  15. AnzacValentine

22s - What PSI do you run?

I keep the PSI to 43. I believe that's the suggested inflation, although I'll admit I haven't referred to the specifications. Tesla vehicles typically run tire inflation levels higher than ICE vehicles, from my experience. I cannot comment on range. I bought my vehicle with the 20" wheels...

Model X front indicators - white on Tesla website

Thank you kindly for responding. I turned off Range Mode but no change. I suspect this is a regional configuration. When you indicate, do these lights flash and if so what colour?

Model X front indicators - white on Tesla website

This had me intrigued for a while. The Tesla main website shows a Model X with white front turn indicators acting as, what appears to me, to be day running lights. As an Australian owner of a Model X, the indicators are yellow and cannot be activated as shown on the Model X image on the Tesla...

Would you like to see fsd as a subscription option?

FSD as a Service, yes. I'm sure it'll go this way in future. And as a service, it will/should encompass both S/W and H/W continuous updates and upgrades. Managing subscriptions for thousands of customers won't be a problem and for the most part, it's S/W related. I work in the IT industry...

    Where's Santa Claus?

Latest visualisation in the Model X software update is a welcome update returning to the larger vehicle image, like it was presented when I first received the vehicle in December 2018. But I just noticed the reindeer easter egg has been update also, or should that be deprecated. The Santa...

    Tesla Software 2019.16.3

Yes indeed, apologies for the oversight :-) Autopilot has been getting better with time. Undocumented, but lane changing now in the the Model X and I presume the Model S too is that you don't "latch" the turn indicator stalk for auto lane changing to operate. This means the indicator will...

    Tesla Software 2019.16.3

Overnight I received 2019.16.3.1 (Australia), which appears to be the same as 2019.16.3; same Release Notes and no discernible differences.

Don't take your hands off the wheel

That's how Autopilot is intended to be used, hands on the wheel at all times. I have eliminated the "nags" by always resting one hand on the wheel when using Autopilot. It's still a relaxing drive with added safety. I would only take my hand off the wheel for brief moments and when passage is...

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

Jan, I am one of those owners with a late 2017 MX who up until the 2019 updates experienced nearly flawless experiences. Since the 2019 updates I have experienced regular stuttering with Spotify, considerably long Power Up periods, jumbled letters in the main display and sometimes very sluggish...

    Software crash on v9.0 (2019.8.5 3aaa23d)

Similar experience here. Spotify stutters frequently and this morning the vehicle appeared to be stuck in "powering up" mode with the main display remaining black. Freaked me out a little. I reset and after a few minutes the main screen came to life, phew .... I think this version (2019.8.5)...

    Spotify stutters frequently since 18.4

I have referred the matter to Tesla Service who informed me they will have the tech. team look into it.

    I appreciate the TMC people

Point taken. I know the type, "do you know who I am" point which is not exclusive to Tesla owners, sadly :-)
  28. AnzacValentine

    I appreciate the TMC people

I trust you didn't mean to deliberately denigrate a proportion of Tesla buyers who you label as "entitled". That's not nice :-( And I am not one in case there's an inference I have been offended, which I personally am not. The subject of this post is friendliness.

    Spotify stutters frequently since 18.4

I am definitely interested in this too. At the very least, to get upgraded to LTE. Of course, I'd welcome a beefed up MCU. It's 2019!

    Spotify stutters frequently since 18.4

I've experienced several issues with Spotify over the last year; mostly an inability to login (paid family Spotify account, separate login for the vehicle) or play. I would have to reset often. Since 2019.8.4 and now 2019.8.5 updates Spotify has begun to stutter frequently. Have reset, powered...

    Passenger seatbelt symbol

I haven't seen this in my 1 year old Model X. Have you performed a reset of both displays, by holding down both steering wheeI scroll wheels and also holding down both buttons immediately above? Both screens will reboot displaying the Tesla logo. The procedure is described in the Manual. If it...

Falcon wing doors after version 9 update

Thanks. I found the thread. Looks like a definite change since V9. Hoping this gets fixed soon enough. For now, have to be cautious.

FWD put a hole in my garage drywall after upgrading to V9

I too have noticed FWDs on my Model X, after V9 update, behave differently. In a tight garage, they would previously open partially, but I could override and they would open fully without hitting the wall. They now open partially, with more outward operation than upwards. If I override, they...

Falcon wing doors after version 9 update

Like you, when I tried to override the opening, it would have hit the garage wall, which is something that would not happen with V8. Thanks for the prompt reply. I have raised a Support incident with Tesla regarding this "new" behaviour. I'll advise the response I receive.

Falcon wing doors after version 9 update

Has anyone else noticed a change in opening Falcon Wing doors after Version 9 update? Perhaps a coincidence, but my doors would open much tighter inside my garage than they do now. I was able to open the doors almost fully, but now they seem to open outward more so than upwards. Even when...

    InsureMyTesla Insurance Premium Hike

Thank you for replying and sharing your experiences. Interestingly, last year InsureMyTesla (Australia) was the most competitive offer I could find and hence I went with them. I guess the honeymoon period is over!

    InsureMyTesla Insurance Premium Hike

I just received my renewal notice from InsureMyTesla (Australia) to be shocked by a 50% premium increase from last year. I'm curious to learn if other owners have experienced the same from this insurer. As a result, I welcome suggestions for insuring my Model X.

Recommended brake calipers painters in Sydney

Apologies if this topic has been covered before. I'd like recommendations of local Sydney businesses that offer brake caliper painting services. I'd like to paint my brake calipers red. Is this recommended? Interested in those who have done this and their experiences.
