Big ass parking lot at Madison SB but a jeep wrangler decides to park in a Tesla spot.

I just tried plugging into one on the SB side but it just stayed at starting to charge and never actually started. Heading to work so didn't have time to try others. Some of the pedestals still are covered too

Madison NB and SB are definitely active. I drove by last night and both sides are lit up. Maybe not 100 percent yet but definitely online.

Northbound now has pedestals installed. Southbound pedestals are bagged.

Surprisingly there was apparently a discussion about adding EV charging regulations in the zoning commission last month. There aren't further details and not sure if Tesla would want to continue with this location anyway but nice to see for future stations, Tesla or not...

I wouldn't say its safe to say that. We don't know what is going on outside of zoning commission meetings and they only meet once a month. It seems they have a more pressing issue right now with some housing application.

Interestingly the Old Lyme superchargers might not be dead. There was an ethics commission meeting where they decided to hire a lawyer and come to a resolution with Tesla because they are afraid Tesla would sue. They said the zoning commission has no opposition to the chargers, it was denied...

I wouldn't count on anything happening this year. It is a short legislative session unfortunately, ends on May 9th. I doubt it will even be brought up for a vote before than. The auto dealership association is refusing to even sit down with Tesla and work out a compromise.

I guess I'm assuming it will be an urban charger because New London is a city and it showed up on the tesla map after they announced urban chargers with the opening of the Boston one.

According to the supercharger map, New London is suppose to get some urban chargers at some point.

FYI there is no CT tax credit. It is a $3000 EV rebate, they direct deposit $3000 into your bank account once it has been approved. Unfortunately your car is not eligible for this rebate because it is priced above $60,000. In regards to Tesla, only the model 3 is on their approved list of cars.

Nope, because of an archaic law banning direct sales from car manufacturers Tesla isn't allowed to sell in CT. You would have to go to NY or Mass. There is a store opening in Warwick, RI too but not sure when probably next couple months.

As more people get their Model 3's I think it will just be a matter of time before Tesla will be allowed to sell in the state. Just wish it was sooner rather than later.
