I was in the same exact predicament. I initially scheduled the service for replacing LTE only then opted to replace the MCU……my appt is next week. 2014 S85 here, out of all warranties…..hope for the best 😁

I finally had the 12v battery replaced. Tesla in the end replaced it for free. Kudos to them! We had some discussion though, as I do have an aftermarket sub+amplifier (NVX) and when the ranger noticed it, wanted to charge for the replacement, indicating that was the culprit for the battery...

2014 MS85 here. I had exactly the same thing happening with last update. All settings gone except seat and mirrors. Right now I see the 3G connection not working after car is parked for a while, needing a reboot to work. 48.12 software.

Hi, 2014 Model S 85 here. Got the 12V battery replaced in Oct 2019 and now I got a warning to replace it. Scheduled an appt (mobile service) but the estimation charges full price ($243). What is the warranty on those batteries ? Also, any experience for how long those replacement last ? Just...

2014 S85 no AP here. Got 2020.4 last week, but the text feature is nowhere to be found. Is it supposed to be available on my config ?

I would consider something other than an 85. I have a June ‘14 85 CPO. No AP, payed extra for an 85, now at 43K miles, max charge went from 252 to 240, supercharging went from 75KW or more down to 55KW max peak, tapering down to taking 2X time to charge to 100%. More fan noise when charging and...

I just experienced this issue too. 1st time in a while that I charged to 100% . in the past, I would say before the car was capped and slow supercharging , I never had this happening. MS June 2014. Temp in garage is ~15C

I had what it seems the same issue. Is the noise coming out more from the right or left side ? If from a side, then it could be one of the condenser fan. I just got my 2014 S85 in for service and they cleaned and lubricated the driver side condenser fan. No noise so far ( just 1 day)

do we know why those SC are “reduced service” or closed ?

looks like there was something under the carriage, as usual 5m from the SC the noise stopped causing a slightly embarassed road test drive with the very nice Tesla SC people....anyway hope it was just that. not sure what the forlinks are...

Same issue here. 2014 S85 CPO. Overeheating protection on for most of the summer...plus windshield cover....bubbles center top of the nav screen.

It looks like there are no changes, it still does not organize properly compilations when using artist name , unless the artist is the same for all songs i.e "Various Artists". It does not also recognize/use the <albumartist> tag.....:(

Mmh, in my standard audio, just replacing the stock speakers with the kappa infinity the change was dramatic. Mostly in the highs and mids, that went from muddy to crisp (flat eq) The NVX sub addition made it perfect.

Standard. The dront door panel opening can accommodate a 8” , but I already bought 4 6” infinity. With the 6” installation in front door is relatively easy.

I would be interested too in drop-in door speaker replacement . In my 2014 the speakers are not great at all, especially the rear door speakers...sounds like i have tweeters/mid range. I was thinking to add the nvx sub as 1st step then go from there. my budget is limited atm..

I read this too and immediately updated the app, but could not find the HOV setting under Navigation. I can however select the car type as electric.... ios11.

I was thinking to add the NVX sub BOOST kit and wondering if it may void warranty or need to be removed for service, as the sub is mounted on the charger port side. I was quoted $262 and 2.5hrs for installation plus cost of the kit, here in norcal bay area. Mulling on it.......

Same here. Found over the weekend that my S85 is capped at 85mph and the flux capacitor does not activate.... I sent a support email via mytesla.com on Sunday but not a peep in response yet. I did not have the opportunity to test it yet as avg speed during work week on local highways is 23mph....

I have the same problem. More prevalent if I was running the AC, then turn it off and leave only the fan on. After sometime the fan is running the bad odor goes away...

Inhabe some issue here with model s. I had problem programming the remote, to the point that I went to the SC. After various trials, they said the homelink module was to be replaced...and will send someone at my house. OK, the day after I gave it a try again and this time I was able to program...

Went to the SC yesterday. Interesting experience. I went there without appointment, so kudos for listening to me and checking the car out. After acknowledging that the gap was big, they discussed among themselves and told me that they could fix it at the SC instead of sending it to the body...

Unfortunately not..I noticed it in the garage after parking. BTW, during the delivery I noticed a few scratches on the driver door will, and when raised the DS, she just apologized and said that they will not fix it. The more I insisted the more they apologized just waiting for me to leave.....
