    Front lights turning yellow

Yup, both of mine are doing this now. I've had one replaced already about a year ago. Ranger is coming later this month to replace them... luckily I'm still under warranty (bought my Model S in Nov. 2017).

EAP to FSD - bite the bullet now or risk it?

I love Tesla and I love my Model S, but buying FSD is a waste of money. I have EAP and while that's great on the highway it still has some issues, several of which have already been covered by others. Until true Full Self Driving is a reality it's not worth it to buy it when it's just piecemeal...

    Airbag light on...

This is an old post, but I will provide an update. I took it into the SC and initially they said it was the wiring harness. After replacing that it didn’t fix the issue and they eventually replaced my entire passenger seat which ultimately fixed my issue. Been good to go since they fixed it.

Where is the gps antenna on raven cars?

As far as I can tell it's not (reading the signs)... there are many areas around where I live where the speed limit in Tesla's database differs from what is posted and the speed limit in the car show the incorrect one.

Model S(2017)75D Air conditioning not working cause battery temperature

Oh I get it... the bioweapon button cranks the fan to 11 and puts on outside air. I have my air on LO and auto which cranks the fan to 11 and puts on recirculating air... however it feels really weak. My wife’s Ford Escape will blow like a hurricane and be ice cold... my fan on 11 feels mildly...

Model S(2017)75D Air conditioning not working cause battery temperature

Dang... that’s crazy. Maybe I should get it changed. I saw a YouTube video on how to change it and even though I’m super handy and have done a bunch of significant car repairs / maintenance in my life popping those trim pieces off looks like a pain in the ass. It would really suck if those clips...

Model S(2017)75D Air conditioning not working cause battery temperature

HEPA was done about 2 months ago when it wasn’t so damn hot. Would be messed up if they left a rag in there. I’ll just have to bring it in and have them check it out.

Model S(2017)75D Air conditioning not working cause battery temperature

Good to know... I guess I’ll just have to have them take a look and see if the coolant/refrigerant is low. I still have to say that I feel like my fan on high is pretty weak compared to other cars.

Model S(2017)75D Air conditioning not working cause battery temperature

It’s never been changed, but in a year and a half of ownership I’m only at 14,793 miles... I doubt it’s that clogged up to cause this type of issue.

Model S(2017)75D Air conditioning not working cause battery temperature

Nope, I've actually never turned that on.

Model S(2017)75D Air conditioning not working cause battery temperature

Hey everyone... I have a Nov. 2017 Model S 75D and I’m in the middle of a boiling hot early Florida summer. On a day like today I’ve got the A/C cranking... it’s 90+ degrees outside and I’ve got my A/C set to LO and it’s on auto. No matter how long I wait while my car is pre-cooling parked...

    Florida Sun Pass Transponder?

I haven't had my transponder in the car for years... just make sure your vehicle and plate are registered correctly in your account and they'll charge you via the plate. Price is the same as using the transponder.

    Airbag light on...

Sooo... had a passenger in the car today and what do you know the damn light went out and stayed out. Maybe when they sat down whatever was loose got pushed back into place... who knows. Either way I’m not going to worry about it.
  14. Theflash95

    Airbag light on...

Thanks talels for the pics... so that looks like a "bonus" connector after all. I'll try re-seating the ones that are currently connected and see if that makes a difference.
  15. Theflash95

    Airbag light on...

Yeah, like I said that gray connector (with the white tape around the end of it) is loose... it does not have much slack and I don't see anything nearby (although it's difficult to see) where it would connect. If anyone can look under their seat and tell me if that thing goes up/down/left/right...

    Airbag light on...

Hey everyone my airbag warning light is on. When I press the brake all the warning lights clear, but the airbag light goes out and then comes back on. I recently vaccuumed my car and I think with moving the seat back and forth to its extreme positions (all the way forward/back) something may...

    Leaves stuck in grille.

Thanks JasJ! Sounds like you done a little trial and error with regards to this issue.
  18. Theflash95

    Leaves stuck in grille.

Just took a long trip with my Model S 75D and got a bunch of leaves wedged in the corners of the grille (see attached photos)... any tips/advice on how to get this stuff out of there? I'd rather not sit here with a pair of tweezers pulling these things out one by one... not even sure that would...

    Car releases charging cable reluctantly

I agree with Tam... I always hold the button down until the cable is fully removed. When I first got my car I would hit the button, but it would quickly re-lock just like you're saying. When I held the button down and it stayed unlocked I figured that was just the way you had to do it and I've...

    Driver Assist Options Stop Working

I have an S75D and I have the same issue (noticed it about 2 hours ago when I was driving). Others are chiming in about the same problems.

    Autopilot gone?

My autopilot, auto-high beams, etc. has worked without fail since I bought my car a year ago. Been on V9 2018.42 for a little while now and everything has continued to work perfectly. This morning is the first time I can’t use any of it. Based on all the reports it sounds like it is happening to...

    Autopilot gone?

Link to FB Model 3 page where folks are reporting the same issue: Tesla Model 3 Again, I have an S75D, but it seems to be a non-model specific issue today.
  23. Theflash95

    Autopilot gone?

Same thing happening to me. Reboot not fixing it. Lots of people on the Tesla Model 3 Facebook page (I have a S75D) also reporting the same.

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

I got the update notification last night at 3:29 AM and kicked off the update earlier today. Unfortunately I’m traveling today and only had only about 10 minutes to drive around and see all the new stuff. I like the new UI, seems to be a lot cleaner. I would say the biggest complaint I’ve seen...

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

That again tells me that there was trouble using it on the highways they were planning to use it on. If it worked so well on those highways, why pull the feature? I think the answer is obvious... that it's not ready. Again, we'll see how many weeks of validation really turns out to be. Once...

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

I guess we'll see, but it was my impression those were the folks who hacked the car to enable the feature.
  29. Theflash95

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

We are all guessing... from the few videos we've seen "drive on Nav" was limited to only certain highways. If it worked well in those limited areas then why pull the feature? At least give it to us with confirmation on the ideal highways, right? You are both assuming this sentence: "Extremely...

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

I know you're all gung ho about this FSD thing, but... drive on NAV from all the videos/notes I've seen was already purposefully limited to only certain highways... my guess the ones without crazy ramps/turns/markings... so... by limiting drive on NAV to what Tesla considers ideal highways they...
  31. Theflash95

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

"Extremely difficult to achieve a general solution for self-driving that works well everywhere." It is that quote right there that confirms even further my thoughts that FSD is several years away. If Tesla is struggling to get "drive on NAV" out the door, which is going to be limited to only...

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

I tend to agree with you... doesn't seem to be rolling out to the masses. All this hand-wringing about making sure your car is connected to Wifi as much as possible/making sure the car doesn't go to sleep/monitoring your router to see how much data the car has pulled/etc. seems to be a little...

Seeking opinions: Upgrade now to FSD or wait?

What does it matter if you have the new hardware, but the software isn't ready? If Tesla popped their new hardware into your car right now what difference would it make since there is no code that takes advantage of it? My guess is as they get close to rolling out new FSD features that are going...

Firmware 9 in August will start rolling out full self-driving features!!!

No, no FSD features are out. Right now they are still working on delivering EAP features.

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

All of you folks who have gone to great lengths to set up logging for your Tesla's Wi-Fi usage crack me up... your update will come when it comes. Patience is a virtue.

Seeking opinions: Upgrade now to FSD or wait?

"FSD features" is a misnomer... if the car can't drive itself it's not FSD (FULL self driving). Say they introduce a feature where the car recognizes traffic lights and will slow and stop for yellow and red lights respectively. If you still have to drive the car the rest of the time what's the...

Seeking opinions: Upgrade now to FSD or wait?

Sure, eventually you will... but what could you have done with that $4k/$5k in the meantime? I’d rather not loan my money for R&D on a tech that isn’t going to be anywhere near ready for several years. Say FSD is a reality in 2025... my Model S will be 8 years old... I’ll probably be thinking...

    First look v.9!

Re: Mirrors - I’m just going to leave this here. I made this change a few years ago and while it took a little getting used to it is much safer and essentially eliminates blind spots.
  40. Theflash95

    First look v.9!

Just out of curiosity... why do so many people love having their backup cam on all the time? I remember when I test drove the S it was shown to me with excitement by the delivery specialist and I was like “meh.” Don’t get me wrong I love it... but only when I’m backing up. I find it terribly...

Should I add FSD to my existing order?

Again, just my opinion, but I don't see "Full" Self Driving happening even within 10 years. Sure, Tesla might add some FSD abilities, but if it's not going to be completely autonomous anytime soon and you'll still have to do some driving what's the point? Like I said EAP is already good enough...

Should I add FSD to my existing order?

I still think it's a waste of money right now. We're a long way off from getting in our cars, putting a destination in the navigation and letting the car drive itself to where you need to go. I don't know about you, but I bought my Tesla so I could have fun driving it. Sure driving can be...

Any tips on getting employer to install charging stations?

Thanks for the ideas ewoodrick, but I think for now we're just going to be stuck with the one charger. No, my company doesn't have an electric charging program. All we've got is the one charger and they are working on a schedule that is fair for the folks at my office to share it. Yes there are...

Any tips on getting employer to install charging stations?

I gave them the info about Tesla's program and I'm told they looked into it. It's not really my place to make any demands, especially since now their opinion is "we replaced the one broken charger we had and now we're done." Was just wondering if there was maybe a state program, or even a local...

Any tips on getting employer to install charging stations?

Yeah, I pointed that one out to them... I guess it wasn't enough to sway their opinion. Our facilities company literally said that installing additional chargers (like I said we have the lonely one by itself) would be "insanely expensive."
  46. Theflash95

Any tips on getting employer to install charging stations?

I live and work in the Orlando Florida area. My company (ironically an energy company, think power plants) has a HQ that has several large buildings and several thousand employees. We have one ChargePoint charger installed outside our main lobby that is free to employees. It was originally...

[POLL] Is FSD it's own thing or an extension of EAP?

Only 1 vote for FSD being its own thing? I know there is more than one person on this forum that thinks that is what Tesla’s plan is. Oh well, maybe I should have included another option for the poll: “It could go either way.” It just seems to me that most people feel strongly that it’s one way...

Should I add FSD to my existing order?

Link: Tesla increases price of its ‘Full Self-Driving Capability’ over-the-air update We contacted Tesla to get an explanation about the situation and the company confirmed that it isn’t supposed to apply to existing vehicles and they will honor the original $4,000 price. The new $5,000 price...

[POLL] Is FSD it's own thing or an extension of EAP?

I was going to wait to post this question after the big Version 9 update, but it seems things are pretty lively on here with all the FSD news lately (new features coming soon, new 3.0 hardware next year) and I'd love to know where everyone stands. So... my opinion is that FSD is being developed...
