It's Alliant Energy, but considering they changed their CCS/CHAdeMO charger that's kitty-corner across the highway to "employee only" when no employees have electric cars, I don't know how cooperative they'll be. At least they're close.

Target finally cleaned up all the shipping containers that they used for storage during their remodel. The containers were where the Supercharge is going, so nothing could happen until then. That doesn't mean any will happen now, but it's one less thing in the way.

I avoid toll roads. I'm always afraid I'm going to drive wrong and get fined, just I just don't use them.

Is there any access to these chargers without using the toll way? Toll ways are just too much stress so I don't go there.

I wish the 6-20 would get more attention. It'll charge most Teslas from about 20% to 80% overnight and it's still a normalish outlet that runs on standard 12 gauge wiring like most outlets in modern homes. I think it's our best route to charging at every parking stall at apartment buildings.

$8k is well worth it. The convenience of charging at home is easily worth more than the performance package and that costs $10k.

Thinking about it, Superchargers at airports make a lot of sense. Charge up and park. If you're picking up or dropping off, it's the best place to charge. It makes Tesla rental cars more practical too.

Just so people know, the SS Badger spent millions of dollars to stop dumping coal ash, so they don't do they any more. Personally I think there's a romantic patriotism to driving a car made by the first car company whose cars can all run on American coal to the last ferry that runs on America...

I suspect as time passes, people become more comfortable with EV's, and chargers become more common, the acceptable range will decrease. I'm sure some people will lay down the extra coin for more range, but like me, many people will be more concerned with performance and price.
