Blog Tesla Releases Data on Utah Autopilot Crash

You need to read up on how radar works and it's limitations. Blaming the car is as bad as blaming the gun.

Integration with Google Home / Google Assistant - Now available for general use

Great app... another cool feature to show off!!! Here's an example of an ungraceful exit, as requested. I said: "Set charge level to 80%". The reply was fine, saying it was an invalid value, but then it exited. BTW, why is 80% invalid when it is the recommended charge level?

    GPS Issues After Software Update

Elon warned it would be a bit quirky (my words, not his) for a while, but will improve over time.

    Anyone got 2018.12 beta yet?

I have a 2015 85D with 2018.12 but the nav hasn't changed. SC installed it last week.

    New navigation on dash?

I have 2018.12 in my 2015 MS but the nav has not changed!

    New navigation on dash?

You have always had to have a car in front of you to activate autopilot when stopped.

    2018.10.6?

I have a 2015 85D and the SC just updated it to 2018.12. Haven't noticed any changes though.

Out of curiosity, what do you hate about your Tesla?

My local SC (Jacksonville, FL) is just the opposite: they have bent over backwards to fix/replace issues (not that there have been many). I bought a CPO 85D and the stone chip touch-up they did on the hood wasn't of a high standard, so they put it in the body shop and repainted the whole hood...

Tesla Upgrading Software to ‘Do Pretty Much Anything Via Voice Command’

Definitely text via voice. And it MUST be retrofitted to MS - our cars are 2x the price of the 3.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

My 2015 CPO 85D has almost 30k miles and at 100% it says 269 miles.

How to save a lot of time on long trips

Call me crazy, but I don't see any tabs on the nav screen, except the steps of the trip. Could it be my model (MS 2015 85D)? Here's my screen with nav in process...

How to save a lot of time on long trips

I'm a new owner! Are you talking about the screen that shows the average energy consumption over the last 5/15/30 miles? If so, where does the color come into it?

New "Chill / Normal" acceleration modes?

My 2015 85D has it, but after testing it I doubt I will ever use it! Useful for some I guess. IMHO the time could have been better spent trying to get the internet radio to stream properly!

    Speed limited with Auto-Steer

How do you set it? This is what the manual says in the USA... Restricted Speed Autosteer is intended for use on freeways and highways where access is limited by entry and exit ramps. When using Autosteer on residential roads, a road without a center divider, or a road where access is not...

    Speed limited with Auto-Steer

Hmmm. Is that why it allows a higher speed on the Interstates?

    Speed limited with Auto-Steer

Sometimes my MS 85D reduces my speed when I go from TACC to AS. It only allows 5 mph over the recognized speed limit. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't at other times. I know this doesn't come from the speed limit offset, because I.ve tested it with various settings, but the AS limit seems to be...

    Autosteer calibration after windshield replacement

I had my windshield replaced (2015 85D AP1) and the tech told me they have to recalibrate the camera after doing that. However, it drove just fine immediately afterwards, except for the same issue it had before the replacement: when changing lanes, it goes WAY over to the extreme outside of the...

    CPO (P)85D vs New 75D

And don't forget depreciation! I recently had to make the same decision as you, and I opted for the CPO 85D. It came with all the bells & whistles, including premium sound, premium lighting, air suspension, carbon fiber trim, sunroof/glass roof, 21" wheels, etc., etc. It's a beautiful ride for...

21" Silver Turbines with Tires, TPMs & Center Caps

I purchased a CPO 2015 85D last week, and I am replacing the wheels with 19s. The rims are in perfect condition except for one that looks like a small stone hit it 1/2 way up a spoke. No rim rash on any of them. The tires are Continental ContiSportContact with less than 1000 miles. Located in...
