    New solar and Powerwall installation

Exactly what they quoted. I changed the location of the powerwall last minute, had the team remove a satellite dish from my roof, and replace a bad circuit breaker and they did it all without an additional charge.

PW2 Critical Load Panel Yes or No

I was also under the impression that it isn’t optional (I have an electric stove on a 50 amp)

    Has anyone gone off grid

This is my motivation as well. my connection fee is $25 a month in upstate NY. upgrading my system to cover would be more than that but not so much more that it isnt a real consideration

    Has anyone gone off grid

as more and more powerwalls start to make their way into the wild, i'm wondering if anyone has used multiple powerwalls to completely disconnect themselves from the grid. to be clear, is there anyone that was once grid tied that no longer even pays an access/connection fee to their ex electric...

Looking forward to my install - few questions

contract is 27.5K - net 12.5K i currently use oil heat and electric for everything else (cooking, dryers, etc). i average about 450kwh a month. (current quoted 5 kwh system produces quite a bit more than this) if i'm going to increase the system i will go up to 5.85 kwh hours (18 panels) and...

Looking forward to my install - few questions

Total is about 22k before credits. Keep in mind 5.2kwh is about 25% oversized already

Looking forward to my install - few questions

another 4k will bring my system from 5.2kwh to 6.5kwh which is MUCH more than i use... decisions, decisions

    powerwall clarification

I know. I just can’t justify the cost of a second Powerwall. Maybe one day

    powerwall clarification

I'm in the same boat except swap your AC for my Electric stove. i would understand more if my typical usage wasnt so paltry. I typically use 12ish kwh a day which the powerwall site says should more than be covered by a single unit

Looking forward to my install - few questions

my assumption is if/when we go electric with our vehicle, the cost of solar will be lower and it will be cheaper and possibly more efficient then. we dont currently expect to go EV for 3-5 years

Looking forward to my install - few questions

16 panels - 5.2kwh system and 1 Powerwall... part of me still feels like I should’ve increased to 18-20 panels but I can always add more later

Looking forward to my install - few questions

It is a Tesla energy install. I am using the Tesla low profile 325w panels (which cost more) Finally got the design back.

    powerwall clarification

can anyone clarify something for me- does the powerwall ONLY power the subset of circuits that they put on a separate panel or does it cover the whole house (assuming the usage is below capacity)?

Looking forward to my install - few questions

I signed a solar city commitment that is currently in the design phase (2 weeeks now) so I’ve been reading these forums religiously. My design is for a 5.2 KWH system (using the 325w panels) and 1 Powerwall. This is currently 110% of our monthly usage but I still feel like I should increase to...
