Here Are A Few Indications Of Upcoming Tesla Model S/X Upgrade: Video

All of the above is guesswork but I can’t imagine Tesla not updating the batteries in the S/X to the cells found in the 3. They have already met their commitment to Panasonic for battery purchases and the larger cells with more efficient motors should extend the range close to 400 miles. I have...

Towed Teslas at SFO, after getting unplugged?

Personally although I own 2 Tesla’s I either Uber to the airport, ask a friend for a ride or use another of my ICE vehicles. I realize many have less limited options. Currently I do not feel most airports are yet EV friendly but it will change as the markets shift. Tesla needs to develop a...

    Tesla halts center screen replacements

Tesla last month replaced my screen on my Signature 2012 P85. The original screen still looked fine but would no longer update. The car was still under CPO warranty so there was no charge and they also replaced the rear camera since apparently there was some compatibility issues. I also got a...

Are the OEM Floor Mats any better now?

I have a set of the Lloyds Luxe mats in my Signature P85 and probably will also buy a set for my 2017 Model S. The factory OEM mats are of low quality, something you might expect in a Kia or Hyundai.

What would be the coolest car to convert to electric?

How about a Ford GT? Might solve the only real problem tha car suffers from, a complete lack of luggage space.

Quick acceleration can be dangerous when changing lanes on the freeway

Anyone who has driven really fast cars knows fast acceleration makes lane changes safer not more dangerous.

Tesla to Produce Pickup After Model Y Rollout

I agree that tow capacity has to be well north of 7500 to be successful. My Range Rover Sport tows 7700 pounds and it is a medium sized SUV. I feel a 10,000 tow capacity would satisfy a large segment of the market

Failed range calculation left me stranded

I can understand the frustration of the poster and perhaps Tesla needs to recalibrate its estimated remaining mileage gauge BUT does one unhappy event undo 100K miles of driving nirvana? I am a huge Porsche fan, have owned well over 20 in my lifetime and currently have 2. I am on the list for a...

Dual Fatality Model S Crash/Fire: Fort Lauderdale, FL May 8, 2018

Just heart breaking how many young people lose their lives in MVAs. The only reason this tragedy will get a lot of press is because the vehicle was a Tesla.

So far the Tesla shorts have lost their shorts LOL.

Yes back up today, I had tried a reset

    Can't login to Slacker

BTW Tunein works in my Tesla and Slacker works on my iPhone so it would seem to be some Slacker/Tesla problem

    Can't login to Slacker

Slacker down for me suddenly today. I wish Tesla would add other music sources like Spotify

    Rebadge my model s

It is easier to just wrap them in heat resistant vinyl. No mess and no permanent alterations. Unhappy or have a warranty issue? Just peel the wrap off.

Here it is the new Tesla Maps ( coming this weekend? )

Unfortunately that roll out does make sense for navigation. Guess I will continue to use Waze which most likely I will do even after the rollout except when I am using the Nav just to keep me company LOL

You mean like the ones on Toyota Corollas and Nissan Sentras? Keep dreaming, Tesla is too focused on FSD and boring tunnels underground LOL

    AP1 NDE

Observations and criticisms are welcome here. Concluding from getting into an accident while "not paying enough attention to the road" that "Tesla AP1 is a VERY DANGEROUS DEVICE" will get some push back. AP1 was designed to be a super sophisticated cruise control but never FSD. Your input is...

    AP1 NDE

Sounds like you would have hit the truck with or without AP1. All any driver aid can do is decrease but not eliminate the risk of an accident. Thank your lucky stars no one was hurt maybe because you were driving the safest car on the planet Perhaps after we get FSD, AP3 will be released which...

Did Tesla Drop the Price of P100D?

Hi I was considering a second Model S and priced a new P100D for giggles. It appears TMC made more things standard such as Ludicrous Mode, subzero, High fidelity radio, etc. so essentially the car is now less expensive and a fully loaded car is now under 140K. Am I mistaken? Secondly, (I...

Might be contentious, but I think I prefer the coils to air...

I drove a bunch of cars before ordering mine. I felt with the 19" wheels the air suspension added nothing other than some assistance with steep driveways and a theoretical slight increase in range at speed due to less air resistance. However on the 21" wheels the ride was noticeably better with...

    75D vs 100D performance

I just picked up my 2017 75D last week and am impressed with the acceleration. If my friends 100D is quicker the difference is minimal.

Can a founder's series roadster reservation be a good investment?

If I had a spare 250K I'd go for a Founder Series but since I don't I will wait for a later and almost definitely improved version. It may cost more but 250K invested wisely for a 2-3 or more years should compensate. BTW I'm not aware of any diesel F1 cars, the poster must have been thinking of...

Let Tesla know what features or tech the Roadster should have to make it even more awesome?

Less battery with lower weight and hence better handling and stopping even if 0-60 were "only" 2.2 seconds. Range would still be well over 300 miles and would cost less too. I'd also add scissor doors like McLaren and Lamborghini. To me that screams supercar. And last but not least Electric roof...

    Subzero vs. Pre-heating

There are numerous gloves on the market that work with touchscreens. I agree the cold weather package should be a stand alone option as in the past and not only available as part of a 5K package.

    Compact Space Saver Tire/Wheel Solution

Unlikely that TireRack would stick its neck out to produce a package that Tesla does not offer and has not been tested. Imagine the legal ramifications if someone lost control of their Tesla because they had this space saver kit on!

Model S100D Aux 12V Aftermarket Seat/Steering Wheel Heat?

Based on the Amazon reviews I doubt the steering wheel cover would fit. And it seems almost everyone needed to unplug it in order to drive safely. Personally I would pay an extra 5-10K and get exactly what I want. Why spend well over 100K to purchase or lease a car that is missing something you...

Tire Question - Michigan to Florida in Dec/Jan

The problem isn't just the potential for snow, Modern high performance tires can't handle temps below 40 degrees. In addition to dramatically lowered traction they can actually crack. Not sure there really is a good, solution but personally I'd rather be safe than posssibly stranded or worse...
