Doing the exact same. Trying to use FSD when there isn't too much traffic. Also avoiding unprotected turns especially 2 ways stops for now. biggest issue I have found so far is it making late changes into the turn lane or waiting too long to commit to a turn.

Exactly. I bought a set of 18s for the winter here. The 20s have summer tires so if you live someplace with cold/ snowy winters you are going to need a set of all weather or winter tires.

Normal software company I would agree. Useually you have some major change between major versions. Didn't seem the case when Tesla went from 9.x to 10 though. I also wouldn't be surprised if Tesla has cars running the single stack version of FSD in house also.

I know Elon was running version 10 for at least a week before the closed beta testers were running it.

I remember Elon saying a few versions back the next one was a big jump and that he was running it on his car. Guessing the NTSB would balk at them releasing a test version to thousands of cars on public roads without some internal testing.

Exactly you would think they would internally test this quite a bit before releasing it to a public beta test group also so by yesterday they really should have known if it was good to go today... Edit guess that was Wednesday but still should know about pushing updated software to a couple...

All of this is just more reason I would never get insurance that bases the price off something like Safety Score or progress snapshot...

Have to say the appeal of FSD is my geek side. I also like fun to drive cars though so the performance while still being efficient is what drew me to buy my Tesla.

Right now you need a 100 score to get the Beta, Elon tweeted this weekend they will roll it out to people with a 99. If you runenroll and reenroll you will need to get at least 100miles of driving to be considered for the beta. Unsure of how many days they will make you wait also...

Sure there are laws that answer the question but I'm not a lawyer and not going to act like I know. Whole point is Tesla is selling a product though at some point they will have to deliver or give people a refund.

The question is how long is acceptable for Tesla to deliver these developments when they say available by the end of the year.

This depends on when you bought your car. If You bought when Enhanced AutoPilot was available then you really did get screwed (if they don't get autosteer working soon).

Your safety score for the day will stay the same but you overall FCW score will improve as you drive more and don't get anymore FCW's. I also believe the overall score is based on total driving over the past 30 days so as the days roll off that you got the warning that will also help your score.

On the flip side though even back in 2017 when I bought my Model S (before the 3 I have now) Tesla had video's showing a model S appearing to drive on its own. Many people back in 2017 bought full self driving believing it would be available soon based on this advertising. Now 4 years later...

The FCW number is avg for 1000 miles so on a short trip in your case 6 miles getting just one will show a super high percentage because if you continued to get them at this rate you would have 166.67 FCW's for 1000 miles. Getting a FCW on a day you drive few miles will kill your score for that...

Exactly I'm running ios 15.1 beta on my iphone right now. Anyone can get it. I still see the safety score in my tesla app. I even forced quit and restarted the app. Have a over all score and my daily score.

Actually had a FCW yesterday that was false (I was exiting a expressway and it thought I was going to hit the car that was stopped in the lane). Safety Score didn't ding me which was the right decision but I was also surprised.
