I get FSD visualizations, but they're not nearly as clean as what MCU2 gets. Instead of orange traffic cones I get white sticks.

MCU1 version absolutely determines whether you get FSD or not. Plenty of people who have FSD HW with MCU1 and no FSD. I got "lucky" and got V10 before they stopped MCU1 FSD rollout. Others MCU1 folks got 3 strikes in 2 years and still can't get out of FSD jail. Upgrade to MCU2...magically...

Yup. They're making small claims wins even easier with all this verbiage and "wide-releases". I'll probably pull the trigger on the MCU2 upgrade and then do small claims shortly after, showing FSD v12 immediately available.

By your signature line, you might be thinking of HW3 not MCU2. AFAIK, all M3s had MCU2 from the beginning. Early M3 had AP HW 2.5 which was upgradable to HW3. The only people I know who got MCU2 for free were the ones who did it in arbitration or small claims.

Yup! I loved that feature. My car started slowing down before the car in front of me did. It gave me the feeling that if the guy in front of me was thumbing his phone, that my car would slow down before he slammed into someone.

People are only getting confirmation from the sales folks. Sounds like the website hasn't updated yet. I'd hold off on placing any orders for a few days if you're trying to transfer FSD/FUSC.

Yea I wasn't disagreeing with you. A lot of car companies have a level 2 system that can work as level 3, if they removed the nags and set usage limits. My Ioniq5 for example, does better auto steer (HDA2) and highway driving than my Tesla does. But they're also not advertising Full Self...

Without getting too deep into the technical definitions of the SAE Levels (there's plenty of other threads to argue that mess), L3 is going to require Tesla assume some responsibility. I don't think they're willing to put the money where their mouth is, at least not for another several years.

I agree. Keep in mind, If it ever goes level 4, it's going to be way more than $12k. Better to maybe buy the dip right now and if it goes level 4, stock sky rockets and then you can afford the $15k+ FSD.

I assume you mean 24amps. There aren't very many shops that work on the Tesla high voltage system. You'll be lucky to find one. Also, they would have to be able to order a new charger from Tesla since there aren't any aftermarket chargers available. Best for you to just get a quote from...

Depends on the service center in question...but generally yes. High school grads following what a computer tells them to touch. No critical thinking involved.
