    Discharge on demand?

I have solar too. So with your setup, Powerwalls have no impact on Ohmconnect whatsoever since there is no way to discharge to grid, correct? In sdge, peak is 4-9pm, off peak 12a-7am. So in this scenario, ohm hours will be 9pm-12am? Set powerwall off peak from 9pm to 7am? $4kwhr is how much...

    Discharge on demand?

@cwied.... very interesting! Thanks, exact info I was looking for. How much are you getting "paid" by OhmConnect by doing this? To confirm, so you get an alert, then go to self consumption, when alert done, then standby to 100%. When do you switch back to Time based? After it reaches 100%...

    Discharge on demand?

I see. Anyone able to use PW to participate in OhmConnect? I saw a thread in 2017 about it, but nothing recent. OhmConnect

    Discharge on demand?

A novice level question. I have PW2 installed for about 3 months. Using Time based control. Is there is a way to discharge to the grid on demand? Would one possibility be to set the reserve to 0% temporarily and then readjust to higher level to stop the discharge?

    Powerwall 2: SGIP/Incentives

So if battery is charged 100% by PV rather than grid, 100% ITC is eligible. How would they even determine that?

    Powerwall 2: SGIP/Incentives

Very interesting, so according to this, existing PV is eligible for ITC. Wow. I don't have a CPA, just do Turbotax, so wonder which forms to use for taxes?

    Powerwall 2: SGIP/Incentives

Just spoke to Swell who claimed that I can claim both SGIP and 30% Federal ITC (off total project costs). I have pre-existing PV solar. Swell sounded very confident that when speaking with their CPA's, the ITC will qualify. Solarcity told me that ITC will not apply unless the PV is a new...

Powerwall Arbitrage DEAD: San Diego's SDGE

My situation: have EV/PV, NEM 1.0, net generator Unless I'm mistaken, I spoke with SDGE solar/EV specialist, who told me that any energy put back into the grid via Powerwall will be credited at retail pricing. At year end in March during "true up", any unused credits will be converted to...

Powerwall 2, Swell and SDG&E does this make sense?

Can I keep my Sgi application locked in and switch from Swell to Solarcity?

Powerwall 2, Swell and SDG&E does this make sense?

Thanks for the replies! So under current rules, can I potentially use the PW2 to "make money" off of SDG&E to lower the overall cost of the project? Is this what they call "arbitrage"? It seems that if we can "program" the PW2 software to sell to the grid during peak and recharge during...

Powerwall 2, Swell and SDG&E does this make sense?

Hi folks, newbie here. Am impressed by the level of knowledge and discussion here. Appreciate some feedback on a scenario that has probably been asked in various forms before, but even after reading many posts, am not sophisticated enough to understand. In SDGE pricing EV-TOU2. Have an...
