I should have been more clear in that my 600s are in a taxable account and my 625s are in an IRA. My plan is to buy back or roll the 600s to avoid tax hit but implement the wheel on the 625s. Always interested in others' thoughts.

That's correct. As soon as my STO fills, I immediately place a BTC at 80% ($2 in this case). It's a manual GTC order at $2, as I'm not aware of any platform that supports the entering of the BTC as a percent of the original order price. Given the wide daily swings in price, I find this helpful...

It's actually better than that. You roll your after tax contributions to your Roth IRA and you instruct them to roll your gains to a Traditional IRA (no taxes to pay!). I did this earlier this year and invested it all in TSLA. Sure beats the pitiful returns I was getting in the limited selection...

But they did mention having Nikola CEO on Mad Money tonight, so there's that :eek: Will be good for some Tesla "pin action" but could also represent "jumping the shark" for Nikola. :) Win Win!

I agree with the points you have made above. While this is the quickest something could happen, it is very unlikely as it would not give people the appropriate time to take action.

If Biden wins and immediately makes good on his plans to raise cap gains on those making over 400k and gets this passed in 2021, that would impact your cap gains taken in 2021 for the April 2022 tax filing. This would mean people would sell by end of this year to avoid that increase in taxes...

Agree, don't underestimate the MMD's last chance to make money this week by pinning to MP ahead of next week's FOMO into earnings.

I sold these same 430s on Monday for $9/each thinking the exact same thing. I'm betting the draw to max pain this week will happen once again but expect a rise into earnings next week to hopefully buck this trend. Good luck!
