Not true:

These releases are supposedly keyed to the week of the year (28 = July 9 2018), meaning they’re a little behind.

I was at the service center 6/22 and asked for 2018.24 because I hadn't gotten it yet and he said they were back to 2018.21.9 because of some "glitch" and it was recalled after only a few hours. Apparently 24.1 fixed that (he wouldn't say what the glitch was)

That is pretty interesting actually. I never considered that all that was going on "under the hood". Another solution to this is don't look at CNN for actual news. This whole media thing is a sad state of affairs.... JS.

Yeah me too. Also the lane keeping on back roads turns is much worse again, frequently going over the middle line. 2018.12 was much better.

Yes as chillaban notes some DLNA media devices we have are apparently causing frequent disconnects. If your Tesla isn’t disconnecting from WiFi you don’t need to bother with the guest network trick.

Consider a Mesh network -- they are wonderful. Google home, Eero, Orbi all are good. Google lets you track how much your tesla is using. One thing I had to do to get my car to connect regularly (I have Eero) is set up a guest network -- the Star Ship will stay connected to that.

I can confirm that because I asked specifically. They told me they'd update the maps and I'd see a difference in the IC (as we know) but alas it is still the old maps :mad:

Another thing I noticed this am (on top of the ability to AP on the back streets in my neighborhood which previously I could not) is that it tracks the width of the road and displays the road as wide. This version is notably more smooth and stable with much less ping ponging
