    Salvage Car Owners Support Group.

This might help. Looks like according to service.tesla.com, you need to pull full F22 for 30 sec: You still need to use toolbox 3 accordingly but let us see but just pulling the fuse. For the "park assist unavailable", try DAS reset which is in the service mode. DAS means Driving Assistant...

WTB Tesla S 2012-2016 driver side knee airbag - 1005259-00-F I believe the last character is the version. If newer version would work, I could use it too.

drive unit oil leak not covered by the limited warranty

Ok. The filter is 1618882-00-A and is only $5. eBay and everywhere online is $30. I have the same leak. I will change the oil + filter and clean up first. Hopefully no need to change the oil pump or the CV axle seal, or take down the drive unit to reseal seam. If it is oil pump leaking, is there...

Suspension rattling sound turned out to be a loose bolt!

This is what I found out yesterday: I have always felt extra vibration when driving on freeway with rough surface. Lately the car was pulling to the right, and for the past 2 weeks, it was pulling a lot that "lane departure avoidance" disables itself on freeway immediately. It is a April...

ERROR: server failed to response. Is the server running?

I have to say at least the drive profile finally works. When I get in, it loads up my profile. I think it started working about 4 or 5 days ago. Now that I heard the M3 key fob will do passive unlock, then almost all key related issues have been addressed. Looking forward to seeing this...

Bought a S85 and all four front lower control arms need replacement.

I am DIYing. I ordered the 4 used arms off ebay (good condition) and I am waiting for two bolts from Tesla. Damn it. Just 2 bolts it has been 4 weeks and still nothing. I can feel how chaotic Tesla is running just to distribute parts.

2" hitch receiver for $410. Rip off from Torklift?

Hmmm, this is the reason why Torklift charges more than double? S is not rated for towing but they still make the 2" version for it? It is all $. Maybe I can get the 1-1/4" version and weld on a 2" tube.

BS. Then why the 2" hitch receiver for model X from Draw-Tite is about $175 (PN: 76143)? Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Draw-Tite Trailer Hitc

2 part numbers for 2014 S85 front suspension fore link assy?

057 Tech insists selling me 1048951-00-C (aft lower control arm - they call it FR SUSP AFT LINK ASSY) yet tesla parts catalog and their estimate quoted 1027351-00-C for my 2014 S85 RWD. Of course I would trust Tesla but I would like to hear from anyone. Would they even be the same?? Any comment...

2" hitch receiver for $410. Rip off from Torklift?

A typical 2" hitch receiver is about $150 for other vehicle. The 2" hitch receiver for model X is about $170. Torklift wants their Ecohitch Stealth hitch for model S for $410. What so special about it that they can ask for more than twice of a typical one? Just because, as of today, they are the...

2 part numbers for 2014 S85 front suspension fore link assy?

Also confusing it part #11. The Parts Catalog shows 1027351-00-C: Then when I tried to order from 057 Tech, they insisted the right part number is 1048951-00-C (for non 100kWh, mine is 85kWh) and showed me this: I am telling u. You don't want to buy used control arms. They have had a lot...

2 part numbers for 2014 S85 front suspension fore link assy?

"FR SUSP" is the only different in the description. FR SUSP means FRONT SUSPENSION I assume. "Plus" or "Performance" has different suspension? Air? Older part numbers vs newer? Anyone knows?

2 part numbers for 2014 S85 front suspension fore link assy? See #6, it has 2 RH and 2 LH. 1041570-00-B and 6007998-00-C the same? 1041575-00-B and 6006664-00-C the same?

Inexpensive window tint shop in Bay Area (SF)

$200 for any car? Where? And for model 3? Yes, it might be more difficult. I will give them $50 more. So, $250 top.

Inexpensive window tint shop in Bay Area (SF)

Unbelievable. 30 years ago, a tinting job was about $120. Last one I did was on my 2016 honda Odyssey 3 years ago for $200. I never gave it a shxt what film or what features as long as it is as dark as I want. Now they come up with all the gimmicks and they could charge up to $600 - $700 and you...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

I would have done it differently (or hired a pro) if I knew more but nothing I can/will change now. I sure hope this can show people what to do and not do when they are doing their DIY project. I have changed the 2 breakers to GFCI and fixed up the knockout issue. Also painted the pipes and...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

YOU GOT IT - FINALLY! I don't see a 200A breaker. This is a locked compartment right under the meter. Maybe it has a breaker inside but it is locked by PGE.

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

I am back. Let me clarify. I also have a panel in the garage. I think it is called "main lug". The 100A breaker on the panel outside runs to and protects this main lug. Yes, PGE gives me 200A. So, the panel outside (that has the meter) is considered the "main" panel. It branches out 100A to the...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

I have had a couple "licensed" electricians coming over before I decided to DIY. One needed me to clear up the garage (packed) so that he could cut out the finished wall. He want $1300 and then I have to find another contractor to patch up the wall and clean up his mess. 2nd thought he could cut...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

Good suggestion but.... No, anything 1" like outdoor metal box with 1" openings (Dale Hardware has it I eventually found out), offset compression connectors (I am not good with bending pipes still), etc are hard to find. It is not easy (for me) to bend 1" EMT conduit either (and the 1" tube...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

Gee, those 6 AWG wires are thick and hard to manipulate. From the panel to the junction box is romex (NM) cable. From the junction box on are THHN wires. The pillar is hallow but better be safe than sorry, drill 2 tiny holes in the opposite direction to make sure you see thru first. I did use a...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

This is the RIGHT electrical panel to tap into. Sorry if I did not describe my setup clearly to begin with. PGE | Meter (200A) | First panel (100A, 50A 15A) | | Garage Panel AC I am adding my 50A circuit in the first panel, NOT IN THE GARAGE...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

Pics of the area here. I do appreciate if you can give me a parts list. That make shopping much easier. The junction box will be external and below the service panel. I will run a short 90 degree pipe to go in and up to the service panel, then two 1" conduits to run to the NEMA 14-50 and tesla...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

Power coming from PGE, thru the meter panel (left side) to the right side service panel (that I have access to). It has a 100A breaker that runs to inside the garage to another panel that has 14 to 20 breakers servicing the whole house. The AC (50A and 15A for signalling) ties on to this service...

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

I have 200A coming in from PGE. 100A goes to the panel inside the garage. 50A goes to the AC and the 15A is the AC signalling (which was using 0.1A). Pulling a 50A off this 200A for EV will not overload.

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

Actually, the left half is PG&E's and it is locked. The right half is mine. And I just noticed one thing. There are plenty of slot space and I can easily add two 50A circuits. See the red box: I usually DIY. It is not hard. But I will still get some quotes to see if I how much I can save by DIY.

    Installing NEMA 14-50...

This is outside my house (see pics below). Looks like incoming power goes to this panel (2nd pic) before it goes into the garage panel (for everything in the house). On this panel, it has the 50A air conditioning circuit and its 15A (thermostat, fan blower, etc for the AC?). And lt looks like...
