Me too, although I have to say that i seldom receive a wave from M3 drivers who, around here, are mostly ladies:rolleyes:. Managed to get a 'reply' yesterday from a MS (male driver). I have to say that MS and MX are by far the most likely to 'reply'.

As far as the software updates are concerned maybe one sees them as beneficial, maybe one doesn't. The main factor for me is that they are available remotely for free to all of us whatever model. That is IMHO currently unique and has almost limitless potential.

Re: 76p erroneous credit I emailed them as soon as I saw the 76p credit and within just shy of 48 hours, they had remedied the situation and credited a further £5.00 as a gesture of goodwill

Like Dilly, I'm an old git and love modern tech. I think this goes to show that you can't please all of the people all of the time. If they only issued updates that would suit everybody or nearly everybody, we'd probably still be on or near the original issue from 2012!

On my MS, if I inadvertently open the door when in drive it automatically shifts to park.

It's left hand drive by the looks of things so maybe no driving test!

I had a problem around a year ago when my touchscreen totally failed. I could drive the car but no speed indicator or power steering. I contacted Birmingham SC and they had the car towed. Two business days later it was ready for collection. They blamed an error when downloading a software update.

I can see your point, but IMHO generally this is what the utility suppliers are looking for in their clients. That way they can be in charge of the situation and gently rip you off.
