I learned a little from Kirk Kreifels. He explained that the clock starts when it roles off assembly floor. So it is less than 19 days sitting on the lot. With most already sold at time of coming off the truck.
90+ days average to sell an EV last month. You think other companies don't wish...
Using Nissan to describe Toyota is in trouble is like Tesla is in trouble looking at GM.
Every car companies including Tesla wish they have problem like Toyota with inventory of 19 days for company wide. That basically means almost every car sold before they even get off the truck.
Toyota laughing with money in their bank accounts. In profit and stock valuation.
Never bet against Toyota understanding science and making money.
Toyota is so right that Ford and GM now planning to build hybrids again.
So 2 years ago, in the summer, when Government, and even Tesla, asked to not charge car in the summer heat is fake news now? Someone must be working for CNN and MSNBC.
He is not wrong. China is acting like Vietnam had been in the 70s and 80s. I still don't trust any commy after my dad lost all his money and company to them.
I don't trust a commy even in America. And there so many here in USA, but never lived under commy regime.
I think you mean should you buy this one.
My opinion, the battery might be a refurbished one. That means the battery is older than the car. So probably less range, and might go bad not long after warranty is done.
If you got major discounts and know you will you will get rid of it before...
Lexus is expensive, but Toyota made a lot of money from people loving Lexus.
If/when they bring the RX plugin to the US, that will fly off their shelf.
The review was cool if it comes to life close to it.
800 volt system.
Air suspension.
Interesting seating and bed features.
My favorite... if not fairytale, solid state batteries?
Ram Revolution
I saw a pix of 7 seat layout, I hate the 2nd row seats. It is the same as the Euro version. Just a bench seat. My 12 years old van has 40/20/40 seats with arm rests. This is sad.
The good thing is this LWB will have 111 Kwh battery.
I would wait a little... looks like Toyota is going full PHEV. The RX will get PHEV. I bet Highlander will be next (and hopefully Sienna too).
Just hope Toyota move their PHEV to NA factories and source their batteries for credit handouts.
The new proposed CARB battery warranty is 10yr/150k. Starting 2026 new EVs, has a minimum 70% charge for warranty replacement.
Better, but still doesn't fix expensive battery when it dies.
With EVs transitions, it seems more like a throw away world even more.
Most of us, in this forum, can afford an EV, and trade in for a new on maybe every 8 years.
The less fortunate people are supposed to buy our old cars and potentially stick with $20k+ repair bills?
I can see Cuba like...
I am talking about "wearable" components. Of course bad CPU is covered by Tesla (and most everything else). But tires and other "wearable" components are not.
When is 12v battery ever really under Tesla warranty? If anything, it is the battery maker's warranty you need to chase down.... much like tire warranty. It is a wear item Tesla will not be responsible for.
I doubt Model 3 SR will get full $7500. The battery is not going to be qualified. China made battery is a no no.
In fact, what percentage of Tesla sourced battery are from China? So maybe Model Y might not qualify for full $7500 either.
Not until auto makers tell the Fed, the IRS doesn't...
For God shake. The President screaming for Green doesn't own an EV or have solar panels on his home.
The WH should also be covered in solar panels and have EVs everywhere.
Walk the Walk. Just too much talking and no walking.
Not until the leader leads, the army sits.
You are telling me that automakers' contracts for cars in production (or near) will change in the next 15 months?
Aren't contracts written in years ahead for supply stability?
I can see adding new materials contracts if a product is a hot seller. Outside of Tesla, EVs have not really move off...
I was reading 70% of PHEV/BEV automatically disqualified. And 0 EVs will qualify in 2024.... for full credit.
Even the mighty Tesla will have issues with FTA sourced battery materials.
Guess I will not buying an EV until full credit is available. Or I will have to buy my next EV through...
If given the choice, would you take the Blazer or reskin version (Honda Progue)?
Hope Honda fixes some of the interior with $7500 tax credit. So hopefully cheaper.
I be up for the Honda version with fwd as daily commuter.
