Exact same issue and symptoms observed, and even more interesting, I have noticed it only starts when one is seating in the driver's seat, if you are alone in the car and in the passenger's seat, the sound does not start until one slides across to the driver's seat.

Makes no difference, unfortunately.

Reporting back s promised and the issue was not isolated nor fixed, I will have to go back and leave the car longer unless someone else as the same issue before then which can be succesfully diagnosed. I don't think I will get an appointment until the new year now as I am waiting for parts...

I have a service appointment on Fri 24 to look at this specifically, I will report back.

I have picked up my MX100D this afternoon in Oslo, NO and the issue I noted with the DS is similar to what is described here, I have logged this issue for a service appointment.
