    Auto Immersive Sound

Why does it move it to always to standard if you have it manually selected in “high” for example? I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but it’s not the control logic that the auto wiper interface uses, which are similar in the interface control.

    Auto Immersive Sound

Question Re the new “auto” immersive sound setting: How does this setting operate? In other words, what exactly is the sound processor analyzing in order to decide which level to set the immersive sound? In my mind, this setting was quite preferential relative to the listener’s ears. With...

200 miles review: Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4

I just mounted the P Zero on my M3P, I think the steering is more communicative and the ride a slightly better. Quieter I think. Grip is a bit less, traction threshold is lower but the car is a little more fun.

    Upcoming Control Arms appointment question

Coincidentally, my right side control arm just started squeaking yesterday. It's warranty replacement is inevitable, but if they had done both when they replaced the left hand side, it would have saved me a tripped.

    Upcoming Control Arms appointment question

I understand and that’s been my experience as well. That said, if you read the post I quoted, the poster said that one control arm was squeaking yet the service center replaced both. Thanks.

    Upcoming Control Arms appointment question

Can you post the invoice so I can use it as proof at my SC? My RH control arm is squeaking and they’ve only ordered the one. I would like them to replace both

    Autopark not working, firmware issue

Hi all - the purpose of this thread is to enter into the digital universe what happened with my Model 3's autopark and how Tesla fixed it. I think it could save someone a bit of confusion if it happens to them. In March, my car stopped going the grey "p" when it identified a suitable parking...

2021 p3D handling concerns. I'm disappointed [because suspension too soft]

I don’t know if it’s a preload issue. I think it’s something to do with the dampening or something. I really can’t put my finger on it. It almost feels like a car with adaptive dampeners that are broken. It the rebound is weird.

2021 p3D handling concerns. I'm disappointed [because suspension too soft]

My 2020 M3P is in for service, and I have a 2019 LR for a loaner. I agree with you that the road feel, feedback and steering feel is better with this 19 LR with 18” wheels than my Performance. I can bring this car right to the limit of adhesion and be comfortable. I think the Performance has too...

Trunk Latch failed and replaced 3 times in 3 weeks

I had my trunk latch fail when I left my car at the airport too long and the battery completely drained. Correlation doesn't equal causation, but the rear hatch was how entered the car as the doors wouldn't open with the dead battery. The Tesla service center replaced the latch and it was fine...

    Tesla lost my check

It's unacceptable for a business to lose a customer bank check in a situation like this - they should offer him something for the time and hassle. If only out of embarrassment. It's a lot of money and very unprofessional. Some service credits or something. I don't know what he means by...

    Tesla lost my check

You guys should read the first post carefully and stop being so quick with the asshole responses. It's also pretty clear that English is not the OP's first language. As someone who doesn't speak English as my first language, you should take care not to interpret a nuance to what the OP is...

    Tesla Import in Unsupported Country

Seems like 2017 and even some 2018 had some kind of SIM module under the MCU access by way of removing the storage compartment under the screen it’s either on the MCU board, under it in the aforementioned module or the AP computer behind the glovebox. I would start at most likely/easiest...

    Tesla Import in Unsupported Country

The wifi is switched on and off a lot.. so unless the wifi hotspot is constantly active and on, it could be dropping the connection a bit. M3 Performance after updating to 2020.48.12.1

Yes, that is exactly correct. I drive approximately 40,000 miles per year. I have racing licenses in Germany, France, and the US. I've been involved in auto sport since I started karting at the age of 5. I have a pretty good sense for speed relative to time in a motor vehicle, especially that I...

    Tesla Import in Unsupported Country

I looked into this a bit whilst researching to send my Model X from the US to the South of France. You can replace the SIM card to make the mobile data work in your region. Google a bit about it. Autopilot will work. The supercharging is a different connector. Chademo will work. No factory...

TM3P P Zero tires, what to expect?

I would not expect much. Every set of Pirelli tires I’ve had are terrible. Bad traction, bad ride, bad durability. I left the set of Pirelli tires that my Model X came with on it until they were finished, but I’ve replaced the Pirelli tires on many new cars straightaway. My Ferrari, Volvo, and...

Sleeping in the car for 2 weeks?

I don’t think a few hours on a long trip at a rest stop or something is strange. That said, sleeping in your vehicle regularly instead of a hotel on a trip is somehow strange. Where do you shower or use the toilet? You mustn’t suggest this type of accommodation to your girlfriend!

Have you ever hit something on autopilot?

Yeah - honestly, if I wasn’t on the phone I would have caught it before it hit. You have to pay attention on AP and use your brain. Once you use it a bit, you get a sense for when it might have trouble or not

Have you ever hit something on autopilot?

AP2 works differently than what we have in the Model 3. I wouldn’t worry. Never happened on my Model X again and I do the same drive all the time on autopilot. The Jersey barrier catches the tire and throws it back to the surface so I’m sure the bodywork came close but never touched

Have you ever hit something on autopilot?

In my 2017 Model X with AP2, I was going down a stretch of highway (I76E) in Philadelphia I take everyday. I was on the phone with girlfriend, the car jerks itself to the left and into the jersey barrier out of nowhere. This was in Feb 2019. The jersey barrier worked as designed, popping the...
