For additional data points, my original VIN of 4714XX did NOT have the new headlights and my new VIN of 4731XX DOES have the new headlights.

Well I originall received my VIN the day of the announcement and it was the old configuration scheduled for delivery 3/9. Asked to be reassigned and now delivery is set 3/22. I’m ok having to wait a couple extra weeks for the new lights.

I have texted Tesla too but know they can be a bit slow to respond, any way to confirm I have the new lights? VIN is 473130.

Well it turns out I was given bad information. Although my VIN was assigned the day of the news of the new headlights and that my car would have that configuration, my car is actually the old configuration. Question, would it be worth it to unmatch and put myself back in the queue?

When I contacted Tesla that day, they told me all Plaid models that were assigned a VIN had the new lights as they did not have any inventory that they were matching to orders. I don't trust that unfortunately so will just have to wait and see - will know here next Wednesday.

Hard braking is calculated by g forces experienced. So if regen is kicking in hard enough on a hill to get the accelerometer past a certain point, it hits you as a hard brake.

FYI - unless I am mistaken, FSD is not transferrable. So if you are looking for a used Tesla, unless you are buying it from Tesla, it doesn't matter if it had FSD. You would still be required to pay $10k to unlock it. But I could be wrong on that. Worth factoring into your decision though...

Valet mode is still a thing and not quite chill mode. Valet mode does additional things like restrict glove box entry, max speed limit, etc. Chill mode just affects the car's acceleration capabilities. In chill mode, acceleration is greatly reduced.

Is the setting to prevent the door handles from retracting at home or is the setting to prevent auto-lock at home? I thought it was the latter and although the door handles will retract, the car remains unlocked so a light tap on the handle will extend them.
