I've found using the heated seats (contact points to your body) keep me just as warm as heating the cabin and are much easier on the battery. If the Model 3 had a heated steering wheel I doubt I'd to warm the air in the car at all.

I'm just repeating what I saw on the several articles as the reason Tesla is now adding it "free". You're probably more correct on why the are actually adding it.

If it's really for "safety" as they are claiming you'd think they'd push it out basic to everyone, just add some "enhanced" features for those that paid for it. It's all software so there are easy technical ways to make this feasible.

My opinion is that as the technology matures (both at Tesla and others) that this is going to become a standard feature similar to backup cameras. Also feel like it's only a matter of time before it becomes illegal to drive the cars ourselves.

Quick question... When I put my Car in Reverse it angles my side mirrors down a little bit. Putting it back in drive it adjusts back to my profile. Is there anyway I can get it NOT to do this? I prefer my side mirrors pretty much where I have them. Thanks

Whether it has or not isn't an issue. I'm more concerned with them saying issues are "within tolerances" and trying to blow them off instead of fixing them as was the case from the delivery I linked.
