I'm not sure I agree with that. In the pictures of the destination chargers, note that it's where the charger is on the right side of the car that matters, and it looks like with the Tesla in the picture there, the charger is plenty close for the charging cable to reach easily.

It's not installing for me on my late 2015 Model S. Neither the phone app nor the actual in-car installation. It counts down the 2 minutes, and then nothing. Acts as if it didn't even try to install it. Anyone else seeing this?

I wouldn't interpret it this way; rather, I believe the stripes will be angled, as now, but in the opposite direction, parallel with the shown curb by the switch gear. I think the flow direction for this "lane" will be away from the mall, and you just back in at an angle instead of backing in...

Also, the charging cables are noticeably thinner for V3, and these are definitely thinner.

Interesting that there does not seem to be provision for the red signage behind the stalls saying "Tesla parking only" or "General parking 30 minutes max" or something like that. But it's great to see this making progress.

The other alternative is to buy chains. Maybe overkill, but you have them in case you need them. I found out via direct experience that the normal summer tires do not work very well at all on heavy snow. No way you can do freeway speeds or even close in them when there's snow on the road.

What's that pole behind the SCs? Could it be for a highly visible Tesla sign perhaps? Or just a light?

They look asymmetric: the middle 6 are symmetric, but the one on the right doesn't seem to have a mate, and there's one on the left that's partially obscured by some construction stuff that is the other one. It looks like maybe 5 could charge on one side, and 3 on the other?

Wish there was some explanation of the source of the hold up -- is it Tesla? Local power company? Someone playing a gag and just tying the tape around the cords to see how long they stay in place before it's realized that things are actually working? The lack of info is frustrating!
