That’s fine with me. I guess you know more about compassionate use.

I honestly don’t know. But, I do know that one particular country’s insurance model has no impact to the people in this country. Eventually someone is paying those hospital bills. And I didn’t even mention the nearly 40% of the population that’s underinsured.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Why we need a better healthcare system... Just think, about 10% of the country right now are uninsured. If even 20% of this population require hospitalization, how are those bills going to be paid for?

Question for all the cup half-full people: What possibly positive imminent news regarding the virus is out there to warrant a rebound of the sentiment/market in the very near future? not asking for hopes and dreams, but tangible news that could turn the macros around

Taking a devil’s advocate position. It’s possible that some of those signers might be factory line workers who are living with at-risk family members? Can’t assume that every worker is gung-ho about pumping out cars at the moment when all their other friends and family are in shelter mode.

Shoot, not too surprised this executed already. Now have a buy order set at $290. We could get there by beginning of next week. Quite a few here disagreed with me when I posted in the past couple weeks that holding through til Monday was a bad idea. Let’s see if I can make it a hat trick. Too...

5.7-magnitude earthquake shakes Salt Lake County, Utah Anyone here lives in Utah? As if the virus matter isn’t enough, they just had a large earthquake with almost a dozen aftershocks in the high 3.x. If an earthquake was to hit CA right now, maybe time to start learning to live like the...

Ive responded to one of your similar posts previously. I don’t think you understood. So, let me ask you, what is a common sense situation look like that you refer to? 2-3 weeks is the very minimum. The shutdown doesn’t work when not everyone buys in. There’s a large population in America that...

I’ve learned in the past to take every comment on here with kilograms of salt. Just do whatever makes you feel comfortable. Even if it’s panic selling or buying. In the end, it’s your money. Full disclosure, I’ve liquidated all TLSA except 25 shares from the high $1xx. People here have...

Formal Remdesivir trials are just starting. It will be a long while to get meaningful results from them. However, there are reports of compassionate use cases out there in the wild. For example, three from a group of twelve earlier COVID-19 patients in the US were given Remdesivir. They all...

As some here know, there’s this minor thing called the Hippocratic oath and EMTALA. Maybe in national emergencies like now, there would some kind of waiver that dumb sacks are forced to sign eliminating their rights if caught willingly ignoring safety orders for pleasure at the community’s...

Just testing does not solve everything. Testing just shows whether an individual shows a viral load at that particular time the test was conducted. And a negative test is not a vaccine. You need to be able to quarantine the positives and isolate all other sick people during testing. You don’t...

Let’s say that person is allowed to go on as usual with life and goes back to work, then gets sick from the community. If this person is one of the unlucky 20% to require hospitalization, besides even getting other people possibly sick (since the R0>2 right now), the overall expenditure will be...

Increasing frequency of testing is just a matter of relaxing the testing guidelines, which will be reduced as more tests are available. But as you mentioned, speed to result is equally, if not more, important. It’s easier to mass produce tests, not as quick to run the tests at anywhere remotely...

Food delivery is what I miss about visiting Asian countries, at least the more developed ones. Food delivered within 1 hr at the latest from anywhere, no fee for delivery, no tip custom.....and it doesn’t bankrupt the restaurants.

I’m glad you still sound cool-headed because I don’t think I’d be able to at that point. But, maybe that’s not much relative to your overall portfolio value. What a journey Tesla has been on since the ~$200 days years ago.

Here’s a response, which has been liked by quite a few (and scolded by quite a few), to the shut down from a neighbor somewhere on NextDoor: This is really getting scary. Apparently people are lemmings and will give up all freedoms for a tenuous security. The overreach will never end just like...

We’re hearing talk of millions of tests coming out as we speak right now over the week. I’ll believe it when I actually hear from the resp clinic. Besides the test kits being made, I don’t believe the capacity to run the tests are there yet. It takes longer to run the tests than manufacture...

Not sure which employees he’s referring to when he says they can feel free and stay at home at their own choice because that’s not the case with the factory. Maybe he’s talking about the Palo Alto HQ staff.

Cant see the link anymore. Anyways. Considering that Tesla was one of few remaining big name companies in greater Silicon Valley area to not have announced a WFH, and the fact that Tesla keeps a very strict work attendance policy at the factory, I wouldn’t doubt Elon keeps the factory open as...

Call me a pessimist, whatever, don’t care. Regardless of whether things are priced in, this is all moving with sentiment and panic. That’s what matters right now IMO. We got a lot of naysayers here even just a few days. If this shutdown doesn’t wake up those people, not sure what would. Maybe someone in their close circle being hospitalized or the police telling them not to leave their home? Because both are potential outcomes in the near future if people...
