If your install has a 3G connection you can always open up the gateway (dangerous due to live cables inside and not recommended) and physically disconnect it. While in there you could then plug in an Ethernet cable, or just roll back to using WiFi to connect to your network.

Odd that there is now 3 different firmware versions in play; 1.15.1, 1.15.3, and 1.15.5, and it doesn't seem to relate to time-based control given there are people on 1.15.1 with T.B.C. and 1.15.5 without T.B.C.

actually, that was dumb as I'm getting grid charging during what is in reality shoulder period. I've changed it again so that the Peak periods are now extended to include the shoulder periods.

Thanks for sharing that. I guess I should drop them an email about the issues I'm seeing with TBC not handling ToU tariff systems that have a FIT less than Off-peak, and Shoulder quite similar to Off-Peak, and the resulting battery discharging behaviour during Shoulder.

On an encouraging note, today if the first cloudy, overcast, slightly rainy in ages and last night the PW2 charged from the grid during off-peak to 83%. If you haven't got T.B.C yet from Tesla, then if your Tesla app is set to 'Self-powered' then your house will always first discharge your battery before going to the grid for power. Until you get T.B.C - yes. Once you get T.B.C., you'll get same behaviour, but without having to manually switch the settings on a Friday :) You could also give BJReplay's Windows Service that I referenced a go to automate this process right now.
