Is there a graph for speed?

This isn't available in the car's UI, but TeslaFi logs your max and average speeds on every drive, which you can pull up in a web browser. Not sure if that would stand up in court, but is interesting info. I think you can download the TeslaFi telemetry by minute, and could draw a graph of your...

What's your top feature request that could be accomplished via software update?

You can do scheduled wake using a 3rd party app like TeslaFi -- it also allows geo fencing and knows whether the car is plugged in to give you more control. I would like to see this implemented by Tesla in the car's UI and app, though.

Thoughts on winter wheels/tires - aftermarket or Tesla?

I bought a set of Blizzak LM001 performance snows from TiresPlus (owned by Bridgestone / Firestone) and had them mounted on my Aero rims. I had some concerns about lifting the car, so printed the manual page on how to jack up the car, and explained to the manager that if they jack it...

Model 3: Phantom Pedestrian rear at highway speeds

Maybe try cleaning the rear camera lens (I put RainX on mine to help keep it clear) and check if there's any dirt or anything clogging up the rear infrasonic sensors?

Does voice command feature work for anyone? particularly for maps?

Works great for me for navigation....just push in the right steering wheel roller and say "navigate to _____"...does a good job with addresses or even business names. Much better than the voice Nav in our two Volvos (which has never worked right for me).

    Software Update History?

TeslaFi will track automatically (as described above)...but only from the time you start using the service.

Touch Up Paint From Tesla Store or?

The touch up paint from the Tesla online store was on backorder when I checked last week (at least for blue)...but it is just a Tesla branded version of the kit from Dr. Colorchip. So, I ordered directly from Dr. Colorchip, and the paint matched perfectly. I had one tiny chip (which was my...

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

Ordered Maxpiders from CARiD.com...they were in stock as of last night...and say they are shipping today. They were $205 for front and back...customer service guy (online chat) gave me 3% off. Free shipping and no sales tax, so I got them for like $199 shipped. Got tired of waiting for...

Model 3 USA Spotify Spotted?! (Spotifotted?)

If you read through the thread linked above it claims that Tesla started using Slacker in the US in September 2013...which puts them at 5 years at the end of the month...interesting round number for an exclusivity agreement to end? Slacker is okay, but as a Spotify Premium Family subscriber, I...

    Model 3 Easy Exit

The Model 3 also has an "Easy Entry" setting...you set it up like another seat profile, and it will go back to that setting when you put it in park and the driver's belt is unbuckled. You can find it in the manual under "driver profiles".

No way to have Bluetooth audio play over Slacker right?

Check to see if there's a setting to have the apps in question play the bluetooth as a phone call instead of through bluetooth audio. I do this with Waze and it plays over slacker just fine (iPhoneX). In Waze if you go into settings, sound & voice, advanced, you can change the sound output to...

    I feel dirty...

Whenever I need to drive my 2016 Volvo S60 (which is actually a pretty nice car), it now sort of feels like driving a 1970s school bus. Anything with dozens of buttons and engine sounds and fumes sort of feels like an antique once you've driven the "spaceship from the future". I also agree...

    Rear license plate screw stripped?

Had the same problem yesterday on the lower right screw -- plastic grommet kept spinning, and I couldn't get the screw out (stopped trying as I was worried about scratching the car). Luckily, if the bottom screws are the problem, you can slip the plate into the frame OVER the bottom screws with...

High insurance costs or more FUD...

USAA was slightly cheaper (maybe $20/year) for the Model 3 than my 2016 Volvo S60 T6...exact same coverage. Of course, YMMV. I think this is purely FUD -- people are likely comparing apples and oranges (e.g. coverage levels) in the interest of generating alarming headlines. As someone pointed...

Weathertech vs Tesla. Who has compared Model 3 cargo mats?

I have the trunk mat and it does not block access to the lower rear storage...there's a little area so you can still get at the loop to pull up the storage door and the mat just flexes up with the storage door. I emailed WeatherTech last week, and they said they are "working" on Model 3 floor...

Anyone upgrade the rear view camera?

I think they are planning to use the rear camera for Autopilot and / or FSD (maybe in version 9?) -- so I would be concerned about compatibility with a 3rd party camera. If FSD is calibrated for a certain fisheye lens, how would that work with another camera?

VINs of cars who lost back bumper cover?

Sorry to hear this is happening. I've been driving my M3 (non-performance) fairly regularly in torrential rain as recently as today (Maryland keeps getting hammered), and haven't had any bumper issues...could this be a production issue on the performance manufacturing line (aka the big tent)...

    AutoPilot free trials coming!

I will add my 2 cents, as a big Autopilot proponent. I've only had my M3 since 7/23, but have already put on quite a few miles on Autopilot due to my fairly long freeway commute in heavy traffic in the Washington D.C. / Baltimore area (1000+ miles on AAP so far is my guess). For comparison...

    2018.28.1

I noticed this after going to 26.3...but thought it was just related to the car going to sleep (changed the power saver settings in TeslaFi to minimize vampire drain around the same time as getting 26.3). It's pretty annoying to have to unlock the car first, so I hope 28.1 really fixes this...

    Radar bugs

Mine seems to have problems when passing large trucks. It either shows the truck (as a car) zip past me very quickly to my right (even though I'm passing it), or occasional shows it veer into my lane then dissapear, which spooked me a little the first couple of times it did it. Hoping v9 turns...

    Model 3 Center Console Wrap

On the Qi pad, are you getting enough power to the phone to actually charge it while running a navigation app? I tried to do the same, but the Qi charger isn't keeping up with my iPhoneX running Waze...so I'm back to plugging in.

Review: Just over a week since delivery...RWD Model 3

I think I will really miss the heated steering wheel, too. My workaround for when it gets cold is going to be to use TeslaFi to schedule kicking off pre-heating the car 10-15 minutes before I leave in the morning (I'm fairly consistent) and the same at night...because I will never remember to...

Review: Just over a week since delivery...RWD Model 3

I still like our Volvos, but after driving the Model 3, then going back to the Volvo it feels strange...you really notice the engine noise, which I must have tuned out in the past, and the acceleration isn't nearly as silky smooth. The other thing you notice is all of the very minor things they...

Thanks for the advice on lane changes...got it to work last night and a couple of times this morning. Maybe I was just being impatient because it didn't seem to be doing anything before...it takes a few heartbeats to decide it's safe to move over, I think.

Review: Just over a week since delivery...RWD Model 3

Thought I would give my impressions on the Model 3 after taking delivery last Monday (7/23), after putting roughly 750 miles on the car...and how it compares to my Volvo S60, which is similar in size and feature set, even though the S60 has an ICE and front wheel drive. Overall, I'm VERY happy...
