One thing I noticed, coming from a manual BMW, is the accelerator pedal delay, almost 0.5 sec, in motor reacting to pedal position change. Does PD3 have similar issue?

The biggest issue is lack of feedback in steering, it doesn't communicate what the front wheels are doing at all. I wonder if there is a after market fix for this.

The sales tax paid should have gone to Florida DMV and they should have given you title with your name. In Texas you only pay that tax as part title registration, if somebody else collects it for you that means they would pay DMV and do registration and send title in your name. I am assuming...

It’s been incredibly hot in DFW(Feels 105 everyday) and whole car tint is expensive. Anybody interested in grouping together to negotiate ceramic tint for the whole car including windshield? I will call around and find installer once we have 5 or 6 cars.

It's weird that even though LFP battery size was up by over 10%, the range only went up by <4% between 2021 and 2022 (same as 2023).

Plenty of people pay over sticker price for popular cars to get them early. IMO, If you can afford it, then I don't see anything wrong about it. May be you can sell your reservation later to somebody else for $1k and get some of your $ back. Examples: Civic Type R, Focus RS, GT4

I think it's the "global or shared platforms" that EM might be referring to, every other manufacturer already does that, that's how they are able to keep cost down for mini SUV's. The other manufacturers design the platform first and then the actual vehicles, I hope Model 3 was already designed...

I don't think every Tesla owner or Model 3 waiter is buying a new Tesla for environmental reasons. I am certainly not, made that mistake a decade back, now I just buy used cars which have high resale value.

You need more, it's not "most expensive version" that they need to sell, it's the more of the most profitable versions. 44k SR without PUP would have give them more margins, and they could have made 3 50kWh cars instead of 2 75 kWh.

May be drink some coffee to wake up. Had EM announced M3 to be 44k back in 2016 they could have sold SR mile version with 50 kWh battery without PUP for 44k. Their margins would have been much higher, and wouldn't have to come up with 75kWh and PUP packages to increase the margins.

I wonder if EM regrets saying 35k instead of 39k or 44k, wonder how much of a better financial situation TSLA would have been in.

And we wonder why insurance rates go up. Let it go man, don't have to exploit companies and people for honest mistakes.

Personally I don't think they will reach 5k/week this year. I just realized EM has no option other than say 2nd quarter to keep the lights on, I am 3/31 online US non-owner, currently showing "Early 2019", I fully expect it to be mid to late 2019.
