Update from service center. He tried all firmware, it didn't solve the WiFi issue. He said Tesla has updated it to highest priority, but maybe it's a hardware issue, then it will cause a recall on all cars.

lol, my service guy has been scratching his head for the wifi issue since yesterday, he is working with their software engineer to figure it out. they were debugging the linux in my car now. damn, how did it pass their QA?

I think our cars came out of the same batch, mine has the same issue with reboot, my car is in service center now, it got updated to 2018.12 manually by the service guy, it is said that will resolve the reboot issue, but it didn't resolve my wifi issue.

how do you tell if it is new map?

the service center just updated me that even the 2018.12 firmware didn't fix my wifi issue. damn it,

My brand new MS is in service due to wifi, black dashboard, window sealing issues. My service guy said the 10.12 has been out for a while, it is strange mine is not updated automatically, so he manually updated it for me. I got a loan car, it has the 10.12 version as well.

I have the new MCU. I have the same 1,2,4 issues, plus I couldn't turn on the dashboard screen twice already, called support, they said a new firmware update for the issue is already slowly getting out . I have a service appointment tomorrow, so I will see if they get it updated tomorrow manually .

The vehicle displayed a release note after the update . Did you read it? Mine said clearly it is for the trunk

Thanks . I am a tech .all these sites do is to analyze the browser agent . Yes, it showed mine is the Intel CPU . However, without comparison, the new CPU owners won't really know the difference. LoL.

I heard it only works in g band, so definitely 2g only . I already set my 2g as mixed mode, I guess I need to find a really crappy router to set it to g band only, and g a last shot .

The update didn't fix my WiFi issue . I have a service appointment next Monday, I will see how they're going to fix my damn wifi .

It took about 40 mins to finish .as I said earlier, this is not an update for the new navigation map, it is for the trunk . I didn't find anywhere to activate the update from the vehicle or mobile app .

It's an notification, then it asks if you want to update .after update, it showed the release notes, mine says for opening trunk remotely, what the heck. Lol

it is a CA thing for sure, too many CA orders, Tesla wants to cover more areas for publicity and marketing:D

just found another problem with my MS. Somewhere near passenger side window is not sealed well, it makes noise on high way. It happened to my previous cars before, it is simply a quality issue. Guess a trip to service center is needed. :confused:

I guess the tesla got moved Definitely tried that. It didn't do anything .I gave up, because I realized that I still can get updates from LTE overnight, not a deal breaker. I heard that the 100k car only has a G band chip, so not much faster anyway. So sad for tesla

Lol .I am a tech savvy guy too . My wife was laughing at me that I couldn't set up the simple wifi. I tried to turn off and on wifi, tried to power off the car too, it just keeps popping back the password dialogue . I googled it, not only me have the same problem .

bummer, it took over 30 mins to get the homelink to work, and spent whole night couldn't get the wifi to work. I have the router right next to it, set it b/g/n/ mixed mode, it just can't take it, tried the phone hotspot , didn't work either. Elon, are we still in 21st century?
