Spring is poking its head at The Cottage at Winjes Farm. (winjesfarm.com) and our Tesla guest are already heading this way for our first two day stay of the season. Last year our two destination chargers at The Cottage At Winjes Farm served multiple Teslas and various other EV vehicles enjoying...
No I didn't know that. I did go there to "update" information and perhaps simply shut it down in stead. I'll check, thanks Curtis. Kind regards, Russell
I see what you are saying. Try just searching "The Cottage at Winjes Farm" on say, Google, and the business site comes up. Thanks for pointing that out. Kind regards
Russell Winje
Now that our second Tesla visitor to The Cottage At Winjes Farm has also successfully used the dual wall connector(s) I have learned much that I am sure you all already know. The first Tesla, a five year old Model S, hooked up within seconds to the "master" wall connector, while the "slave" sat...
Thank you for this input. The Cottage at Winjes farm, with its two night stay policy, gives each Tesla drive two opportunities to charge up, once upon arrival, and then again, after exploring our Surprise Valley, and before heading out on the road for the next leg of a journey. Because the...
Our first Tesla visitor to The Cottage At Winjes Farm has successfully used the dual wall connector(s). The five year old Model S hooked up within seconds to the "master" wall connector, while the "slave" sat unused. Sometime in the night the Model S charged from 20% to the requested 90%. The...

Thank you for that very interesting information. As a side note we wondered about the winter effects on the Tesla autos, being in a snow area ourselves. Your comment was a start to that understanding.
Kind regards,
Russell
Thank you Jim,
Good point. We did see the supercharger at Von's in Klamath Falls when we were there this last winter. I will have to keep an eye out for Superchargers in Reno as well, being only a bit further than Klamath Falls from The Cottage at Winjes Farm.
Kind regards,
Russell
The Cottage at Winjes Farm, as a newly installed destination charging location, with two Tesla Connectors, up to 16kW.
Available to the public, we have questions and curiosity. Spring has come to the high desert and outdoor time increases with the longer days. Sitting at the edge of the Great...
We will look forward to a visit. Much to see here in "The old west". Wild horses, Antelope, Elk, Crane, coyotes, bears, etc. . At The Cottage at Winjes Farm, the wildlife area on our farm brings the wild neighbors right past the door as they use the creek to get from the Warner Mountains...
Thank you for the information. Kind of how we thought it might be, and thus the reason we figured it was at least a good idea to offer an oasis in the desert. When we travel, and I do get my South African wife out into her new country a bunch, we like to hit all the back country possible. We...
Thank you so much for your input. That all makes great sense. When our Tesla guests come around you will see that you are quite welcome and spoiled. Our farm is located in a hidden place called Surprise Valley. There are great pictures of the accommodation and the area on our sites, Winje's...
Because we are a new public destination charging site and because we are in a very remote area at Winjes Farm, North Eastern CA, I am wondering what kind of range the various models (3, x, s) depend on to travel. For example, we are 204 miles from Reno, NV, or 187 miles from Redding, CA, or 145...
