Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

I used the fix for 10.3, which consisted of disabling AEB/FCW/Sentry, and it worked. Once I updated to 10.3.1, AEB was automatically re-enabled, but FSD is non-functional right now.

I was using the fix for 10.3, which consisted of disabling Sentry, AEB and FCW. FSD was working until I updated to 10.3.1. Now the visualization is non-stop flickering and I cannot engage FSD.

    Thoughts on UP’s efficiency upgrades?

Exciting to see companies focus on efficiency. I wonder how significant wider wheels affect drag.

People getting 10-15% switching from the 20s to the 18s, which is about a 10lb drop per wheel. From the stock 19 to the TS-5 19x8.5, it’s only a 5 lb drop per wheel. I can’t imagine it being much more than a couple of percent.

Model 3 Roof Rack Options - Comparing Efficiencies

I have the same setup as you. I'm going to try the Thule 52" Airscreen and see if that sits flush.

Did the feet of the 46" Yakima fairing all touch the glass roof? I tried the 52" but I couldn't get the 2 outside ones to make contact with the roof.

Tesla Model 3 Roof Rack – J-Bolt securing the rack snapped

I pulled on mine, no movement yet. I've probably driven 200 miles on them with the FatCat attached. I did hear cracking noises when installing though.

    Model 3 Roof Rack Options

For those who've already installed their racks: please chime in with your experiences with wind noise. I've mounted the FatCat 6 via T-slot and have been getting some mild wind noise in the 50mph and then 70mph range. Anyone experiment with a wind deflector/fairing?

Installing the official Tesla model 3 roof rack

I used the Yakima replacement t slot mounting hardware RPL ASSY T-SLOT FATCAT ,instead of the smart slot 2 kit. The only difference is that replacement slot is about a 1/2 inch taller, which gives you about another 1/2 inch of clearance for your bindings.

Installing the official Tesla model 3 roof rack

You can remove the rubber if you want, not recommended though as you will get a lot of wind noise. You simply compress the rubber and then use a little WD-40 to slide the T-bolt in.

Color varies widely depending on how the sun hits it. Direct sunlight- it lights up like a blue with a hint of grey.

    Model 3 Roof Rack Options

I used a little WD-40 and smeared it across the rubber lining. Still required some elbow grease, but overall pretty easy. I know aero bars don't necessarily need fairings, but I wonder if that would further decrease wind noise.

The rubber is absolutely for aerodynamics and wind noise.
