If it's the same crew that's been working on the I94 corridor from Minnesota to Montana, they are currently doing the ground work in Jamestown. That has to be slow going, digging through frozen ground.

It's covered with snow, but something is happening.

My sister will go check it out , although she said she doesn't have night vision on her camera. Also, they just had a blizzard, which might slow things down a bit. Before you start digging in the frozen ground, you have to dig down TO the ground! Not ideal conditions .

The annoying thing for me is that once it slows down, it won't resume after leaving the school zone until it sees a speed limit sign again, which can be a long time. It would be nice if it could recognize "End School Zone" signs. Minor quibble, I probably shouldn't be on AP1 in a school zone...

I can't address Alexandria, but I will do some sleuthing in Jamestown, I'm planning to be there in August. I will at least talk to the mall people and talk to the city to see if there have been any interesting building permit applications, since none of that seems to be available online.

I'll ask him, he has lived in Jamestown all his life, is in construction and knows everyone, it seems. I doubt it's anything that can be documented and verified, but I'm getting my hopes up that I can get back there this summer via I94.

For what it's worth, my brother lives in Jamestown, and he says there are plans for a Supercharger at the Exxon station off of exit 258. I hope he's right, but they won't be digging in that ground anytime soon-it's currently 8 degrees! Ah, April in North Dakota!
