Doesn't seem like a major update. Only thing I can tell that is new for me is the lock confirmation sound.

So, I called in again today, and was told by the rep that a VIN had been assigned! Happy, but also frustrated, as it has taken 70 days (10 weeks) from config to VIN assignment. We'll see how long it takes to get delivery next.

Well, it's seven weeks since config at this point, and the WA tax incentive expired in the days. I'll miss out on that, unfortunately. Waiting in line didn't seem to help. Just hoping to get the car soon.

Congrats on getting your car! That is good to hear, the rest of us will cross our fingers. Gotta appreciate the effort the delivery centers are putting in.

Now it's been 36 days since config with no VIN, just over five weeks. Everyone keeps telling me they are sticking to their 3-6 week delivery window, especially in WA, but that seems unlikely at this point. And with another shutdown looming, it's hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel.

That's encouraging to hear. Waning hope for those of us hoping for May delivery!

Not all WA people getting VIN's. I configured 4/10 (30 days ago), and no VIN yet. Line waiter, blue/sport. That WA tax incentive feels like it's slipping away!

I am honestly tickled that people are getting their VINs and getting delivery dates assigned. It's pretty cool that we can all celebrate this collective anxiety transformed to joy! I'm now at exactly 4 weeks from config, still waiting for a VIN. It's gotta come through any day now... right?

Argh. I suspect the move to electric is inevitable, and VA will have to come along one day, hopefully sooner rather than later! Hope the blues come through soon.

I hear ya! The WA tax incentive saves us about $3200, so not only is patience in short supply because we want the car, but also because it'll make a difference to our wallets! *sigh*

According to Elon's e-mail to employees yesterday (https://jalopnik.com/tesla-switching-to-24-7-shifts-to-push-for-6-000-model-1825335216), the upgrades on the line should ramp production up to 3000 to 4000 Model 3's per month. But even if they can increase production and prioritize WA orders...

Thanks for sharing this e-mail, ChadS. I wonder what the local Tesla folks can do to help those of us who might be getting close to the May 31st deadline. I just configured mine on Apr 10, no VIN yet, but will hopefully get delivery before the end of May.
