Thanks. Good luck on taking delivery before your lease expires--that seems like a tight window, but California deliveries still seem to be the quickest once you have a VIN, so you've still got a shot.

Yep, got my VIN on 5/7 and later in the day scheduled delivery for 5/23 (was told that was the first available date). :D

I have a VIN!!!!!! 188XX Now for the next stage of anxious waiting... Anyone recently scheduled a delivery date in WA? I'm wondering how far out they are now, seems they will be struggling with the [awesome] push by Tesla to fill WA orders before the credit expires.

Yes, they were, but I think they are giving Washington VIN assignment a break for a while--maybe to see if the facilities can even deliver all of them? (pure speculation). There hasn't been a single community-reported WA VIN since May 2nd.

Tesla does seem to be sending out a lot of Canadian VINs now... I think they are already trying to work towards staying under the 200K limit until July. I'm glad to see that, :D [but also sad :( that I probably won't see delivery in WA before the state credit expires at the end of the month...

FWIW, it's actually 44% WA over the course of 4/29 to 5/2:

Of course the actual percentage depends on when you sample... For example, here's a look at the distribution on 5/2 (sorry for the similar colors), IMO 35% is close to 40%: It still says more that the rate dropped to 0%.

The transition from almost 40% WA VINs to 0% is still jarring. But it is only one day, so I will try to remain positive.

As of 3:30pm pacific time, not a single Washington VIN has been reported today. Meanwhile, even Canadians are getting in on the VIN-action. Does this mean the US tax credit limit is about to be exceeded? My hope of receiving the Washington state sales tax exception is almost extinguished...
