How to plan a road trip - how long will it take?

I leave when Tessie tells me, go the speed limit, and charge when and where she tells me. She's the boss :)

HV Battery Replacement Guide For Early MS 85kWh Pack Including Part Numbers And Prices (April/May 2023)

Several of us that got the new battery noticed that the estimated 100% range went to 293 in the last few updates. Could be that Tesla matched the stated EPA range of the S90, or something like that. If that is the case, it gives an extra 1-2% upper buffer for degradation or balancing. Still...

Goodyear Eagle Touring tires worn out at 25k miles

My 2013 Model S has over 216,000 miles on it and I have tried a 'few' tires. The best I have found (and are the ONLY ones I buy now), are the Continental Pure Contact LS 102V tires. The last set I had on Tessie lasted 64,000 miles and had not worn to the wear bars yet. I replaced them because I...

16 cell supercharging: ~300 MPH (400V) 14 Cell Supercharging: ~400 MPH (350V) from what my 14 cell is doing. BTW 90% range on the 14 (if unlocked as a 90) should be about 265. Also, I noticed that acceleration is a bit better on the new pack,

Also, the charge rate (MPH) of 120KW is higher. Its 402 Miles an hour! For the new batteries, Old Batteries: 120KW = 400 Volts, 300 Amps New Battery (the 'Unicorn'): 120KW = 350 Volts, 342.8 Amps into more batteries, hence the faster charge speed :) I suspect that our older Model S's with the...

Tips and Best Practices for buying from Dealers or Manheim Auctions?

Another couple of things about auctions... If Tesla took possession then sent it to auction, then it likely also has Lifetime supercharging removed (if appplicable). Also, many of the cars at auction could have been listed as salvage or written off as a total loss. If that's the case, good luck...

    New 85kWH battery for my 2013 P85+

When they replaced my battery with the C, they said that when they entered my VIN, it said they needed to be upgraded before they even got my car. I guess its something to do with build date and options? Not all VINs need them (as we have seen here).

The 17kw at the top doing the last 1-2 miles is what the new uncorked C pack does... Older batteries also slowed way down at 99%. The capped ones do not slow down that much at 99%.

How to plan a road trip - how long will it take?

I have made 2 trips around most of the USA in my 2013 S85 with no issues charging (Used only superchargers, except in Casper, WY which didn't have any yet)... Both were 3 and 4 years ago: Trinidad, CA to Kennewick Washington (101-199-5-84-82), took hwy 90 to detroit (with a stop in Casper WY)...

Is that $600.00 installed (parts and labor)? If so, that is about what they charge for dino-guzzlers to get one replaced at the shops. Personally, I think $600.00 to keep the car going is pretty reasonable and I would do it, but that's completely up to you.

That issue is a rare occurrence. I had over 200,000 miles on my 2013 S85, which had a max range of 200 miles at 100% after the 'Batterygate and chargegate updates'. Since my range never got restored after the update to restore it came out, Tesla replaced the battery and made me whole and happy...

Wonder if the label change was done so it does not display the kw size on the label so people don't get upset that they were capped when its installed on a car less that a real 90? Kind of makes sense. People see 90 and want 90 when they actually have an 85 car.

Technically (as some have said, including my Service Advisor), 1014116-00-c is a 100kw pack with 2 modules removed, making it a 90 pack. If you requested and paid for a 90 kw pack and they agreed, I would discuss it with them. Worst they can say is no.

The battery is new, and the ~270 miles at 100% with no regen loss is on par with what others are getting that are software locked to the S85 level. Yes, the charge rate is noticeably faster on this battery. On a rwd 85, if not software capped with this new battery, you should see ~297 miles of...

    Model S Battery

It also depends on if you are in the US or EU They use different range estimates. US uses EPA. The numbers differ. All I see is Rated Range (EPA) and Ideal. At full charge, what does it say your rated range is? Brand new US EPA rated range for a 2015 S70D is 240 miles (realistically, about 229 miles with perfect [slow] driving style and weather).

Do you have an image of the invoice with your personal information and VIN covered up? The additional parts list would help figure out if the right battery was installed, or there was some kind of mix up at the Service Center or shipping. I am guessing a mistake was made in shipping.

If you goto settings, Display, Energy Display, and set it to "Ideal", it will likely show what you were reporting before. FWIW, Ideal should never be used. It has no real world bearing on the battery state, or how many miles you will get. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/246334/
