    Yellow/amber rear turn indicators?

I think the term for this version is 'Ambiguous Tail Lights'.
  4. J

    Yellow/amber rear turn indicators?

I agree, it is a horrible design choice to save a few dollars. It takes unnecessarily extra time and mental deciphering what the vehicle's intention is. I have not seen many aftermarket options to fix it yet.

    Yellow/amber rear turn indicators?

    Being LED lights probably helps.

    Yellow/amber rear turn indicators?

Has there been any sightings of the European style with amber turn signals yet?

    I've seen that car too.

Model 3 hits Tampa International Mall

A lack of a test drive can cause potential sales from happening but I guess a test drive might also cause some to choose to cancel their model 3 reservation to either purchase another EV or wait for a later Tesla purchase.

Model 3 hits Tampa International Mall

Ummm.... things that really cannot be communicated through reading or watching other people driving one online. Comfort, noises, ride quality, road noise, seating feel, headroom or lack of, driving visibility, entry and exiting of various body types, exterior looks and color selection, et...

    Jaguar I-Pace

I have noticed that too R.S. for years. This us versus everybody else stance I've seen from hopefully a minority of posters sours my want for anything Tesla. I've asked simple questions, offer ideas about small problems or compliment some other EV and the responses are quick. Keeping an open...

Why do EV drivers park in EV spaces and not charge?

At least from this picture a more precise signage would help. “Reserved Parking Only” is inviting people to try to get away with a loophole of not stating that they need to be both parking and charging there.

It could be funny to see how much of a range bump occurs putting hubcaps on other BEVs now. :)

    Frameless door positive seals?

Hurricanes would be a great test to see how great a feature frameless are.

    Frameless door positive seals?

That's good to hear. I've googled a few instances over the years and hope they got the issues fixed.
  16. J

    Frameless door positive seals?

I had two 300ZXs in the nineties and swore off frameless door ever again. The windows didn't move on their own but it didn't made a difference whenever it rained for prolonged periods, they leaked. Not just from the t-top but the a and b pillars.
  17. J

    Frameless door positive seals?

Do the model 3 doors have windows that move down when the door is opened and move up when the door is closed to create a positive seal?

    First Wild Bolt Spotted

6' 3" here and loved my Leaf test drive years ago. Hopefully the next Leaf doesn't go lower just to look sportier. Hyundai said they'd have a SUV EV this year. Too bad the Toyota RAV4 EV was just a compliance vehicle.
  21. J

    First Wild Bolt Spotted

It's great to see more EVs built for taller drivers and passengers that are easier to park and easier to get in and out of.

When will it be dumb to buy a new ICE ?

The sooner electric vehicles become more diverse and practical the sooner ICE vehicles will less attractive. There are dozens of different car manufacturers putting out many different shapes and sizes of vehicles capable of different tasks at different costs. Some people want/need a truck or a...

    Non-Tesla EV Purchasers...Why?

I haven't bought an EV yet. I would've gotten a RAV4 EV if it wasn't a compliance vehicle. It had the head clearance I needed and the ground clearance to get through most of the increasing local flooding around here. After two mid 90's Nissan 300Zs I learned enough about glass roofs and...

    Non-Tesla EV Purchasers...Why?

Because they are electric. I cannot imagine buying any vehicle that is not electric. The Evs available for purchase today would be uninspiring if they were in fact not electric. I want all vehicles on the roads to be electric and cannot stand the hated aimed toward them, not just from the 'coal...

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

Fine then. I didn't type I knew your reason, just what it resembled and why.
  26. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

Yes you could. I have read this thread and still stand by my opinion.
  27. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

To be clear, the thread starter has stated it's his/her opinion. My opinion is this is inviting a flame war especially from the thread title and like you said not providing reasons.
  28. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

This is a sub-forum inside the Tesla fan site. A thread title like this calling a Tesla car 'but ugly' in a Tesla forum would be asking for it.
  29. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

The thread title is the bait, hoping to invite 'me too' responses and flaming. If the Chevy Bolt was replaced in the sub-forum thread title with Tesla Model X it would get a lot of backlash.

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

Why??? You just answered your question. Maybe I should've spelled 'internet troll' to be more specific. The definition seems to fit.
  31. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

Wow.... just when I forgot how to spell troll.

    Kia Soul EV

I agree too with RS. Also keep your priorities intact, get something that you want not what is told is a better EV. I always liked the parking ability and headroom of the Kia Soul and Nissan Leaf compared to all the other EVs available right now.

Why the Chevrolet Volt has low resale value

It's off topic but it looks like all electric vehicle depreciate fast. There are some amazing deals on pre-owned Tesla Model S.
  34. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

Plus selling EVs gives them credits to offset selling the ICE vehicles.
  35. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

That's an odd opinion. Do you have any proof of this opinion?
  36. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

A small takeaway from the Bolt showing up is it might cause Tesla Motors to go back to charging less than $60,000 sooner for their new vehicles.

    GM Chevy Volt

I've used auto brokers several times and saved thousands every time. There's a hidden beauty in M.S.R.P.
  38. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

I'm curious. I wonder if a vehicle to be released at the end of this year is already having batteries being produced counts as capacity.

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

The reveal of the Model 3 prototype soon now sounds more interesting to me. Like in a debate, there are tipping points. Showing in solid form what a cheaper EV can be will force other carmakers to either up their game or not try. The more players in the game the better options there will be for...

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

I guess most carmakers take jabs at others, its probably how they differentiate their model.
  42. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

It's a trend nowadays to quickly label someone who believes differently as a 'hater' or a 'troll'. Calling a couple of sentences in a long speech "All they can do is try to attack Tesla" is what I call overreacting. I am not a Tesla hater, I just want more EVs on the road. I've read about Tesla...

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

Those could be a few examples. Everyone obviously is not buying one brand of car.
  44. J

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

"All they can do is try to attack Tesla"? I cannot see a long presentation reduced to just two sentences. Thanks to Tesla EVs have come back strong and are bought by people who probably would not have bought them. But alot of people cannot and probably will not buy a Tesla soon for more reasons...

From the picture with the gentleman standing in front of the bolt, it looks like it has both headroom and height without taking up too much parking space.

FHP cuts Model S a break.... You're welcome

I totally agree. Breaking the law is breaking the law. More people need to be caught to realize why there's a speed limit in the first place.
