FSD not activating after 2022.20.18 update

Double check your tire pressure. I noticed by always keeping tire pressure at the suggested level, it helps reduces the probability of the FSD issue occurring in my car.

Really weird FSD behavior: Cannot engage when speed is over 28 km/h (17 mph)

The issue only started happening since about 2 weeks ago. But it's just so weird that it doesn't look like either software or hardward issue alone.. FSD will work fine for some time after I start the drive (time varies, between 5 - 60 min as I have observed so far), then randomly, when the...

FSD not activating after 2022.20.18 update

Sounds like I have a similar, but maybe more weird issue... FSD will work fine for some time after I start the drive (time varies, between 5 - 60 min as I have observed so far), then after one disengagement, it won't let me engage again if speed is over 28 km/h (17 mph), consistently for the...

New member here, Question about FSD and free supercharging

You need to let the government know as they issue the legal document regarding ownership. You are not legally required to inform Tesla though.

New member here, Question about FSD and free supercharging

See if you can complete the transfer without Tesla knowing, then you can probably keep free supercharging. Asking the previous owner to pass the Tesla account to you? Like giving you the password etc. Don’t know if it’s feasible

    Canada - FSD rollout

There are ways large number of testers can help in an automated manner. For example, Tesla could have 2, or even more, software versions running different ML models out with testers at same time. They do not need explicit feedback from testers. However, by simply looking at the interventions per...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Just curious, does FSD continue to drive the car when the freezing happened? Is it just the visualization that is frozen or also the driving? If it affects the drivability of FSD, I think it’s a pretty serious issue, even a design flaw to some extent. The FSD hardware was supposed to have...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Just received 2022.4.5.20 couple hours ago. I had a safety score of 98 with probably 1000km. 2017 Model S with MCU 2 upgrade, based in Vancouver.

Tesla Covering Some MCU1 Issues for Some Owners

Actually I have been using the Samsung SD card for quite a ways well. Guess we are in the same boat. I'm still using the standalone dashcam for not. I'm worried the workload for writing to SD card alone might be too much for this 8 year old MCU technology. For now I'll keep it like this. It's...

Tesla Covering Some MCU1 Issues for Some Owners

Actually I received the same response from Tesla a few days claiming my Samsung SD card-based usb drive was causing the display to reboot/crash. I actually had a big argument with them not believing what they said. But still they refused to replace the eMMC card citing it's not the root cause...

New AP Behaviour: autopilot canceled itself. Safety issue? Normal?

I did call Tesla right after the incident and gave them the exact timestamp when this happened. They told me they couldn't see any thing in the log around that time (no driver override nor cancellation). He doesn't seem to be convinced that this is a bug but he told me he would submit a bug...

New AP Behaviour: autopilot canceled itself. Safety issue? Normal?

So I have driven my 2017 AP2.5 75D for more than half a year. It's the first time I saw this behaviour (and I updated to 2018.21.9 only a couple days ago): I was driving on a stop-n-go expressway in the morning with good weather conditions with autopilot engaged (following distance 3). The car...

Software Update - don't you find it intriguing how Tesla test/validate it?

Great point! I would imagine there are multiple subsystems in the car: - Core driving control subsystem: directly controlling the very basic movement of the vehicle, such as increasing/decreasing the current into the motor, applying forces to the brake pads, etc. This subsystem provides APIs...

Software Update - don't you find it intriguing how Tesla test/validate it?

I have been a happy S75D owner for more than half a year now. While I'm still getting anxious every two weeks hoping I can be the early adopter of a new software update, I suspect I'm definitely not the only who finds it intriguing to know a bit about how Tesla test/validate its software. Think...
