The model S will not fit but the 18" will fit but they have the wrong size tires. 3/Y are 5x114 and S/X are 5x120 bolt pattern on the rims.

What was your setup? Rear looks really thin...did you not do 40's on the rear?

I can confirm the 20's ride much smoother. I used the same tire to be able to confirm.

Here are the offsets specs of my wheels above.

I went with Flow Forged Avant Garde M610's in 20". Same idea as spsheridan above. Better ride, more rubber outside the rim. I stayed with the Pirelli's and have about 8,000 miles on them now. 255's on the front and 285's on the rear.

Same issues with mine. I picked my car up 3/28 and it still is not resolved. Seats, misaligned panels, rear deck lid and paint on the rear bumper.

I called and talked to the service supervisor and when they asked, I was honest. I guess I could have lied about it but I really don't know what the big deal is. They let you swap the sizes on the Model 3 so why not on the Y? Seems ridiculous...

Tesla will only change to the 20’s if they are Tesla rims. They wouldn’t change mine. Just an FYI.

I have the 21" Uberturbine wheels from my performance that I would be willing to work a trade for the induction 20". DM me if you are interested.

I changed my 21’s to 20’s. Although the ride is significantly better, range also increased but it did not change my total available. I am going to see if they will change setting to 20’s like Robo above when it goes in for seat repair.

If someone were going to go this route, it would be way more reasonable to just add a 5mm spacer and use lugs that bite more under the wheel (same cost just need the rim hole to be big enough) and you wouldn't need to deal with breaking down the tires every rotation. Just do the normal 4 wheel...

I can confirm they work right off the shelf. I didn't need to get anything programmed. Started driving and they just worked right from the tire shop (Avant Garde HQ in SoCal).

20’s. 285/40 rear. 255/40 front. I will end up doing 275’s but the 285’s were on sale for $200 so had to buy them.

Plug and play. I didn’t have to do anything. Installed new wheels and they just worked. No programming anything!!

Just got my M610’s. 61lbs rear and 54 front. Rear tires are huge and heavy. Rear rim is actually lighter due to the offsets. You could shave more weight if you did not have the lower offset but I wanted it aggressive for the look. Will update with some Wh/mi info later. FWIW, the ride is way...

Here are pics of my new 20" Avant Garde M610 Forged wheels. Lighter than factory and the ride in INCREDIBLY improved over the 21's. And I love that I can now see the calipers better. Same tires so I will be tracking range and Wh/mi.
